It's decent. But if you have other shooter like Gears, Graw, or Vegas there really isn't much point in getting Lost Planet. And if your an achievment whore, you could not have picked a worse game.

Decent? No way, its freaking awsome. The graphics are great and the boss battles are some of the best around. Its online can get very addicting and Fun at the same time. Online is always full of people too.
dont know why this game has so many haters. or people that say its just 'ok'. i think its a must play for all 360 owners and honestly i had as much fun playing through the campaign as i did with gears and vegas. the graphics are incredible and the gameplay is extremely fun and satisfying.
Dear God no. I just rented this game and its so frusterating. You get knocked down by rocket. 5 seconds later you get up and immediatly get knocked down again. repeat this over and over again. And the character moves so slow you can see a rocket coming a mile away yet you can't get away from it. The Boss battles are lame (another mech battle? really?) because it is either an alien of some sort or a mech.

fun game, delivers whats advertise -plain action. dont listen to folks comparing it to GRAW or GoW (makes no sense to). Pure arcade shooter. Completely agree - do not comkpare and online was a blast alot more fun than any game I ever had on gears ... and you don't get screaming kids al the time either!
I got this right after I finished Gears of War,because it LOOKED similar,and I hated it. No multiplayer campaign. No multiplayer anything, aside from online I assume.
A friend loaned it to me and I think its a pretty good game worth renting or maybe buying. to a lot of people its great some people ok, and a few people think its sucks. So I would say rent it and if you like it buy it.
I didn't care for it, although there are quite a few out there who loved it, so who knows. It feels reminiscent of the run and gun gameplay of oldschool side-scrolling shooters. I think a lot of people dig that.
Very fun game, it is difficult at times and will take some strategy, the boss battles are excellent, the campaign is a little short, but eh multiplayer is fun, and the graphics and sound a great.
Totally fun game but I never picked it up there were way too many other great games I was attempting to finshes before the summer ended. I totally recomend it even though I don't own it.
I liked it. I'd probably rate it an 8 out of 10. Graphics were great. Some of the gameplay was pretty fun, especially the use of mechs. There were a few memorable boss fights too (snow worm was cool). Multiplayer is pretty robust as well. There were a few frustrating things with controls once and while (the stand up animation when you're knocked down is wayyy too slow). But overall I paid full price and was pretty satisfied. If it's come down in price like Dead Rising it would be a great deal. I'm more a fan of sci fi shooters so this game interests me much more than say GRAW or Vegas.
I would say rent it. I loved the demo but i hated the game. It was like a chore for me to play it, i still haven't beat it because it just doesn't keep me interested. Maybe one day i'll be bored enough to finish it.
Most frustrating end boss....EVER. I spent at LEAST 2 hours continuously trying to beat him, and I couldnt do it. I was literally freaking out at my monitor, losing my mind! I tore thru the rest of the game, but for some reason I couldnt beat that guy. I havent bothered since, and dont plan to.
it was my first 360 game (besides Hexic HD) I LOVED IT! It was really short but if you play it enough, you can squeeze every little ounce of the online play withen in a couple months so it makes it really fun! im playing rainbow six right now though....which is fun but i say Lost Planet is VERY original and amazing. id pick it up if you have LIVE but if you dont, rent it.
I'm not very far into single player, but it's all right. Mech combat is a bit disappointing, though. I'd like it more if it weren't for some of the dialogue/cutscenes in between the missions. Haven't tried multiplayer yet.
