god dang that is one helluva a beast. it kicks my butt every time. how do i beat it? my VS suit feels like its make of lead. I can take out the spots on its sides and more often its forehead, but then what? plz help, i rented this game and i only have it another two nights. i'm REALLY tempted to use a cheat to get thru to the end. do they work?
It's a VERY, VERY tough battle. It honestly took me over 20 tries and I'm a 27 year old seasoned gamer. I got some help from a couple faqs on gamefaqs.com Good luck, just keep trying.

Suggestion: just throw the game out and eat lead paint. Much more fun. lol I almost agree with you but not completely. The multiplayer saves this game. There aren't too many jerkoffs online (not compared to CoD or GoW), and the team elimination and data point capture is fun.

But I cant really rememember how to beat him. I would Have to fight him again, What my friend what would do to beat him after he got them down on the side he would fly over top of him and shoot the ones on top

Yeah. The game was actually very easy, I just rented and beat it two days ago.
If you took out the side and then the forehead spots the rest of the fight should be pretty easy just activate the boosters and shoot it (after picking up the rocket launcher in the area) when the boss fight starts two chainguns make short work of its weak spots.
Boss took me two tries, I just head to learn how it moved.
Use your boosters and keep moving --slide around and shoot all the spots then move to its head take 4 spots out slide back and shoot the forehead a couple more times.
And I beat it on extreme, took me three tries with him. Once you destroy the sides and the four on top of his head, use the grenade launcher, it does a lot of damage. Otherwise, just use all the other advice everyone else has posted.

dang it was hard! One day I pushed play and just owned him...... I couldn't believe it! Man I feel for you, he is very tough indeed!
Its not that hard it took me 3 tries just use the gatling guns to take off the side armour the head armour and then the juicy brain tingy, the key is to not push your luck and stay away from it use the slide and those corners wisely.Â
Once you kill the side green circles and the 4 on his head you'll notice that a large patch opens up on his head. at this point he is going to start charging much faster than he used to. It's best to save a rocket launcher till this phase. What I did once this phase started is went and stood in a corner, as he won't charge the walls anymore like in teh earlier phases. He will hit you when he goes by, but for minimal damage. If he shoots those ice balls at you just shoot him. If you see him charging up his big ground ice attack, move to a dif corner. With this method the fight is quite easy.

Ummm... ok? Why buy a game and not play the campaign, especially one as fun as Lost Planet's? exactly. the single player is GREAT. GREAT boss fights. just keep trying. i thought he was kinda hard too. the people who say it was easy probably played it on easy mode.....

I only played the online a few times, probally pretty soon I will go through the story again
