I'm going to the store later today and was wondering which of these two games you would reccomend. I've played them both and enjoyed them about the same. I do have live so I could play LP online. Thanks in advance.
it depeneds.... both games are very fluid and fun in their own way.... you just got to ask yourself; "would I rather shoot at giant bugs or hit zombies with various weapons?"
Lost Planet. Just got it yesterday and it's classic video game fun with great graphics. Although it is a little hard in my opinion but I could use the challenge
I have both of those games and as much as I really like shooters I really can't recommend Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, that is compared to the many other better shooters that are available for the Xbox360. So Dead Rising is a much better choice of the two and is a really great game too, as it is in my top 5 favorite Xbox360 games out of the 36 Xbox360 games that I have.
Depends on price. Dead Rising if its cheap cause its great but short lived and ONLY PLAYABLE ON HD. Trust me on this. Never played Lost Planet

Ya if forgot about the HD only for Dead Rising. Dead Rising is longer than Lost Planet though, and with Dead Rising there are things to unlock. Overtime mode, infinity mode, Mega Man stuff, basically just alot of unlockables. Dead Rising is the kind of game you can go back and beat 5 times, and not be tired of the game.
The store meaning best buy said DR was "sold out"but Lost Planet was on sale for $30 so I got that. I'll probably get DR soon though. Thanks for the reccomendations.
i'd save your money and buy one of the numerous good games coming out in the next few months, but if you absolutely have to get one of those games, i'd choose dead rising

dead rising can play on sd, i have an sd tv and dead rising works fine on it
I haven't played too far into either, but I'm enjoying Lost Planet considerably more than Dead Rising. DR is awesome in concept, but the execution left me wanting. It was far too structured, and the time limit pretty mandated multiple play throughs to experience everything. Really, DR should have been GTA with zombies. That would have been a game worth soiling pants over. Instead, the best part of the game is what you can play in the demo. Run around the mall and kill some zombies.

Dead Rising became rather repetitive to me, although lost planet did as well. However, i'd give the nod to Lost Planet because it has a more enjoyable campaign and multiplayer through xbox live.

If you have a Fry's Electronics store in your area then they have Dead Rising for only $29.99 and that is normal price.
