so i had a 1 month X-box live Gold Membership trial, so after that 1 month...it gets downgraded to a Silver Membership...but do i still need to pay??ravager1989
Silver still has access to demos but you have to wait a week longer than Gold subscribers. Basically rewarding the people who paid to get it earlier. You also can not play online games with silver, only gold.
Only having Silver can mean having to hunt through Marketplace to find the content you want. When something gets given away for free (DLC, theme, gamerpic etc) they are usually on a quick link from the dashboard, but only for the first week. After that the dashboard link has gone and you need to search for it.
Nobody's mentioned this, and perhaps it's simply too obvious for anyone to think to answer, but you seem unfamiliar with how Live works so I'll mention it:
You cannot play multiplayer on a silver membership. You must have a gold to use the multiplayer aspects of a game or co-op aspects of a game over live.
If you were already aware cool, just figured I'd mention it since no one else had and it's probably the biggest difference between the two.
