I've played both... and I say roll with Crackdown!!! Lost Planet was OK, but Crackdown is worth the buck. Leaping hasnt been this much fun since it became popular in Super Mario Bros! Oh yea, and also taking out bad guys too. Crackdown, no question!
rented LP, hated that game. Single Player was slow as dirt, so was MP. Go with crackdown, there isnt a time that u cant find somehing to do when ur playing coop.
I loved the single player of Lost Planet and found it to be more enjoyable then crackdown. The co-op stuff is real fun in Crackdown though. I like LP's online, but I haven't spent nearly as much with it online as I have with R6V.
truth be told, i haven't played crackdown yet, but from what i've watched it definately seems better than lost planet. i've been borrowing most of my games from friends and have only played a little bit of LP, so far wouldn't really consider it a buy, but i have yet to try out the multiplayer. if you can just borrow either of the games, see how you like them and go for the buy.
I played Crackdown. Just a rip off of GTA, cept this time around you are a cop. I say get Lost Planet now and maybe San Andreas. Or wait for the new GTA:4.
Also the Lost Planet multiplayer is amazing. Very fun. Single player boss battles are also amazing.
