Lucasarts releasing revamped X-Wing,Tie Fighter and X-Wing Alliance on XBOX Live

Hey, no that Lucas Arts has begun making some of its back catalogue games available on the XBOX Live market place, does anyone know whether they are gonna do a re-revamp of Lucasarts X-Wing, Tie Fighter and X-Wing Alliance. Those games were fantastic back years ago, and the length of each game was impressive compared to some of todays releases.

Damnit dude, I saw the title of your thread, and thought that they were releasing these. What a letdown. Anyway, yeah, they should totally release these, at the very least TIE Fighter. TIE Fighter is one of the best space combat sims ever made.

sorry guys new on the forums and cant figure out how to edit the title. But at least I know I'm not alone and that there is an interest by the gaming public aged about 24 and up for these games to be re-released!!

I'd much prefer a total remake over just a re-release, new graphics, new cutscenes, new story that goes beyond the original. They need to stop making all the games they are currently doing and make us a new x-wing and tie fighter series!

It doesn't matter to me if they do or don't release these titles... Considering i have X-Wing VS Tie-Fighter and Alliance sitting right beside me on my CD shelf :P

Even though I wouldn't mind those games, I'd rather have Dark Forces I & II

While I could live without Xwing v. Tie fighter, unless it comes with Balance of Power, I would absolutely love to see X-Wing, TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance ported to Xbox Live Arcade! Those are three of the best games I"ve ever played. I would prefer visuals from the Win95 editions over the original graphics, if not updated some more, but the stories were great and the gameplay was great! We can hope that LucasArts and XBox will make these available. They're as much classics as any other game and I've kept my old Win95 machine tucked away just so I can break it out and play these games.

If they do start re releasing stuff like this onto the XBLA, i'd be overjoyed if they decided to re release Day of the Tentacle. Hours of fun and weird.
