Share with me what you guys think of the AK74u. I personally dont belive it is overpowerd because at a long range it is as bas as a pistol, such as the ASP. Although at close range i have to admit its the best gun in the game.
There's barely any long range combat in Black Ops, so the Ak 74u is overpowered imo

IMO, the AK-74u is a very good gun for close/mid range, good rate of fire, good accuracy (w/ grip), and good mobility. Has a nice quick/light feel to it, and is seen by a few people as one of the best guns in the game.

I dont really use submachine guns, but I tried all off them in black ops. The only one I somewhat managed to use was AK74u. But compared to assault rifles, I feel it lacks the range I usually need. Commando spray and pray when they get too close.

Overpowered as in no recoil at all, more powerful than most of the assault rifles, you can add a noob tube on it, stuff like that
the ak74-u is overpowered, i have both killed and been killed by it from a snipers range especially on array, you just have to single shot it and 3-4 bullets will kill from any distance. also, the fact that is gets attachments no other SMG can have also makes it overpowered, i mean seriously a noob-tube on an smg?
Last I checked, the AKS-74u is a carbine. In that, it makes sense to have a grenade launcher on it. Also; I have so few kills with the thing, and I'm hardly killed by it. If anything, the knife is OP.
I've been killed like 3 times by a g'nade launcher. The maps are made in a way in BO that it just doesn't make sense to walk around with the g'nade launcher ready to go, that is another reason I like BO so much
Decent gun. Doesn't really excel with anything but it does get the job done when you're playing to strictly destroy vehicles. I myself prefer the UMP-45 or the XM8C to it

Shouldn't it be with the assualt rifles then?
Just because it is a carbine doesn't necessarily make it an assault rifle. If I am not mistaken (and I may be) a carbine is simply a shorter, lighter rifle-like weapon. It's been a few years since I took military history in college so this is just from memory.
