I just picked up x360, and I'm really loving it so far, but have a huge craving for a good game of football. The only one i've played so far was Madden 07 (the demo from Live), and it was OK, but i don't think I liked it enough to drop 60 bucks on it. I saw at Gamestop that you can get Madden 06 for 15 bucks now, and i was wondering if that would be a worthy price for such a game. Rosters don't bug me, what would bug me is if its not a quality game of football. Any input is welcome. thanks in advance for the responses.

i have to agree, but i've begun to get over my longing for a 2k football title and live with madden. but should i get this one for 15 bucks or not bother?
Madden 06 is terrible even for Madden's standards. In the 06 there are many games modes missing as well as simple things such as "challenge play". Madden 07 has great graphics though and all of its usual features. Im not a fan of Madden so I can't reccomend you the game.
thanks for the advice, i think i may just hold off on football games until there is no question about whether or not i will get my moneys worth. i miss back in the day when both series consistently were worthy of 9.0+ ratings

agreed you gain so much in 07 live opponent is fun if you have xbox live superstar mode is addictive and all the little things that matter are in there ie challenge i would rather use my 60 bucks on a complete game rather than waste 15 on a piece

What good is the challenge feature if they can't even get it to work. I wish it wasn't even in 07 that way I wouldn't get pissed about it. Fumbles, out of bounds,arm going forward.....it's all a joke. 07 is the more complete game for sure but it's not worth 60 bucks. Don't waste your money on 06 but look for a deal on 07.....try ebay, or skip football for another year and hope they get their act together next year........our options are limited and it blows:cry:.......I'm starting to kinda hate the NFL, bunch of money grubbin' scumbags . The dumb overblown game intros(pink's on nbc is enough to make me puke)part time refs, sunday ticket exclusive deal, on & on....or maybe I'm just bitter because I'm a raider fan.
Dude, madden 06 blows!!! It is horrible compared to 07, and i already have a feeling 07 is going to blow compared to 08! If you ask me, just wait for 08, its only in August, it WILL be worth the wait.
Also, if you are craving some football or just video games period and you dont have much money, just go with gamefly, its pretty cheap and it kicks blockbuster's ass... I've had it for nearly two years now, and i love it.
Don't get madden 06 unless you want it for achievements. I got mine for 3 bucks at my gamestopclose to me,I suggest madden 08 or 09 there a little more but or worth it or just save enough to get madden 10 it looks great.

just go to ebay and get a used 09. should be cheap.
