mafia 2 reviews

I just went to Metacritic, and I saw that they only had one review. It was from the UK version of Xbox the Magazine, and they only gave it a 70. I gotta admit if this holds true with all the other magazines and sites I will be disappointed. I loved the 1st Mafia game I actually thought it was probably the 3rd best Sandbox game ever behind, Gta4, San Andreas, and RDR. I played the demo and was pretty impressed. I didnt think it was the greatest game of all time but it seemed to have potential. Have any of you guys read any other reviews than the one I mentioned? Also what score do you think it will get? I predict 75/100 or 7 out of 10 stars on other sites.

Ive yet to read any reviews on Mafia 2 and to be honest although i'll read them, i'll still buy the game no matter what the reviews say as i played the demo and really enjoyed it and at the end of the day thats all that matters

I wasn't overly impressed with the demo. It was pretty fun, I really liked the whole 40's (was it 40's?) atmosphere, but the gameplay was a little stale.

I will buy this game no matter how low the average review is.

I literally had zero interest in the game until the demo and I have to say, I was majorly impressed.

I just thought it would be another run-of-the-mill game with nothing special to offer that would fade away into obscurity after a few weeks. I wasverypleasantly surprised. It feels like a lot of love has been poured into this game and it seems like a quality title.

Wasn't planning any purchases for the remainder of the year apart from Reach and maybe Fable but maybe my mind has changed now...

Pretty much the only thing that got to me was the god-awful lip-synching, it was shockin..

It'll probably get an 8.0 - 8.5 here (judging by the demo). Eurogamer will give it a 6/10(I hate those lads).

I played the demo and was pretty impressed.

Me personally, I enjoyed the demo, therefore, I am buying the game. I couldn't care less about the reviews at this point.
