Well since the recommendation sticky got removed, I was just wondering if Mafia II is worth $10?

I read the review, saw some vids. It looks like LA Noire but with less stuff to do and a more boring story (?)

Any opinions are greatly appreciated

I haven't played the full story (just at a friends), but I have played the game and it was quite enjoyable. As you've seen, it scored well too.

For $10, absolutely - a little more than the price of a lunch and you'll have a pretty good time with it.

Absolutely. I paid $15 for it (I think) and had a blast with it. Just know that while the story is pretty solid (for the most part, you'll see when you play it), the open world part of the game feels really unnecessary as there's absolutely nothing to do in it but drive from mission to mission - kind of like LA Noire, I guess.

I can see how it is a disgrace to a good game but then again its great to see it is that price so EVERYONE can enjoy its cinematic story telling

Depends - if you like playing story mode, yes. If you want a game like GTA where you can free roam and do missions - no. After you beat the game - it's over. No free roaming no, nothing. Done. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Fin.

Yup. It's a single player blast of a story. I really enjoyed it, and for $10 it's a steal!

yeah for $10 almost any game is worth it. but I'd say Mafia II is worth $20 easily. You gotta try out the demo, and if you like it (I know i did) you'll probably enjoy the full game. I figure any game that gets decent reviews is worth $10 at least. Rentals are $2/day (redbox and blockbuster), so after 5 days the game is paid for.

Yes, totally. A very underrated game to say the least.
