Major flaw in Halo?

If the pistol in Halo is 50 caliber how come it doesnt look like the 50 caliber Deagle? Firstly, the picture from the link to the Desert Eagle is extremely distorted. The "Magazine" is no where near the size shown in the picture. Here is a much more aligned picture link:http://sshakes.com/graphics/des1.jpg. The caliber of a bullet is more directly related to its diameter, not its length.

Secondly, the most commonly used model Halo handgun for the UNSC (M6C) is not REAL and therefore has no actual dimension to it. Therefor, you can not base its size relative to that of the magazine used by a Desert Eagle. I'm not sure what makes you believe the .50 cal bullet used by the DE is long?

Thirdly, the statement "But if its 9mm that doesnt really make sense since you cant snipe with 9mm" is only relatively true. Handguns are not meant to "snipe" with (regardless of caliber).

I'm not sure about it being a flaw, but its pretty common to find a couple of little inaccuracies in just about everything. You should work for a game testing company, and use your perfectionist-isms for good.

How about the fact that you can't fall 40 feet with no serious injuries? Looks like they got that wrong too. And the fact that health packs replenish health. That's fake also.

I can see the problem if it's a modern shooter, but it's Halo, a sci-fi shooter (as in science-FICTION).

why isnt the plasma rifle or the energy sword in there with the pistol while your at it and btw how is this a major flaw ?:roll:

the game is set in 2500... do you think if they cared what the guns look and truly fit the world they was in be more like gundum's and lasers, and nukes coming out of every gun?

no halo is not that it is about creating a equal, all around balanced, each gun have one mission playing Field, not 20 guns have the same mission like COD
