I don't know if it is my strategy or what but I find myself and my teamates dying constantly. Please share with me some of your strategies so that I may try them and see if my luck improves

Pause a LOT and use every biotic that is available. Also take cover every chance you get.

Use the team commands to tell your guys to take cover. They are very stupid so they wont do it otherwise

Are you playing as a soldier? That class has no powers. I'm playing as an adept and I have 6 powers that I constantly use, so I think its just your class.

i completed the game as a solider the first time

on my second game, i'm playing as a sentinel (biotic/tech)

many more options and a better overall experience imo

I find it like Gears of War, if you rush into a load of baddies chances are you're gong to die. Take cover and it's easy pickings. That's not to say you can't just go in with a shotty and own everything though.

I didn't really have many problems with the game. . .

I played through it as a Vangaurd, a mix of Bio/weapons.

Any specific place that you die often at?

I'm playing it on Veteran and I'm dying alot as well. you arent the only one just dying constantly, but i'm playing as a Vangaurd which is awesome, but remember if you have unity which lets you revive your team use it right away and use your medi-gel to get them healed. and dont run out into a fire fight, send ur team out. they are expendible, you arent.

Well veteran is going to be obviosuly harder. I died a few times in ME on normal when I was careless and a rocket got shoved down my throat. I agree though let your teammates go out, expecially wrex since he can take more damage. Use immunity on them and if you have unity revive them when you need. If they die again, wait for it to recharge and then step in once they're revived with your powers on.

Oh and don't forget to run when you are low on health, or take cover.

If you're playing as a soldier, you should be able to use Immunity, then Medi-gel, andthen Shield Boost. Works like a charm.

You might want to take some time and try to find some good armors and weapons to put on your Shepard, and ALWAYS use cover. With these strategies and allowing your squad-mates to take cover often is key to success. Key to failure is generally not upgrading your character at all with armor, weapons, abilities, etc.

Id like to add, if you want to do all side missions etc. I suggest that you do ALL of them before you head off and begin a main quest on the planet Ilos. Starting Ilos will put u into a chain of events that you cant stop...

I thought it was Virmire that was the quest that you couldn't stop. But yeah, avoid rockets like all hell (unless you're in the Mako, in which case you should jump often), and use cover when you can wrangle it. Don't forget the right bumper is a cannon on the Mako, and no matter what level you play on, Matriarch Benezia is going to be tough.

virmire has you go through a pile of stuff you cant stop aswell but at one point, you get control again on the citadel and then you get this and that (not going to add spoilers) but then you get your last chance to do what you want. but as soon as you start Ilos, I hope youve done everything you wanted to do in the game..there is no going back from ilos, unless u saved of course..

Its really just about learning the game and everything the gameplay has to offer.

Make sure to use you UNITY, that will revive your team mates and ALWAYS bring up your biotic/tech menu often an dalways have ALL of your characters using something.

There are a few spots where i have died numerous times, but other then that not having to much trouble (:

It's hard because your enemies scale with you. I reckon you will have a better chance starting anew.

I die a lot too in normal difficulty. I found out that I really needed to level up a lot meaning exploring many places and doing side quests and assignments. Or you could always play the game in casual. Its a HUGE difference. watch out for krogans too. they are a huge pain.

First run-through of the game I played on the hardest available difficulty and only time I died was against those pesky rachnids because I had a full tech-team(me soldier) that couldn't really do much against them. Other then that, I can't see how you can die easily. Sabotage and overload the toughest enemies first while hacking a medium enemy to take down the big guys first and fast, and just make sure you don't get hit by rockets.

Don't worry, the start of the game is pretty full of deaths. Once you get to 30+ you practically won't die at all.
