Mass Efect = Oblivion?

Hi guys , i got oblivion a month ago and i didn´t liked at all , because its not my kind of rpg , in fact i hate those rpg´s.

Its gonna be the same with mass effect ??? same gameplay as oblivion?

I will say no, as to me Mass Effect seems to be more like in basic gameplay to The Darkness.
