What improvements do you want to see from the first mass effect..?gamefreeck
I'd like to see less loading screens and improved optimization on the console.
Those freakin elevators take too long.GEARSofWAR360
yeah i hated how there would be an akward silence, and then someone would say the dummest sentence known to mankind.
Improve planet exploration: Driving in a vehicle that handless like a wet brick in a wave pool over empty terrain isn't that fun.
i hated how no matter what planet you were exploring, the "dungeon" or the building you went in was always the exact same one, maybe a few more shrubs in the corner here and there. it got annoying. and also more original quests. i want every quest to be like bring down the sky.sly_fiz
What's the dlc content like?
Bu... Bu... But Wrex was awesome! Matt2556not as awesome as HK-47,he would kill wrex for practice before killing saren

I havent downloaded it yet unfortunatly.
I thought the elevators were a nice touch. As has been said previously by Bioware devs, the elevators are there to mask a loading screen. So you guys want the elevators gone, fine, then say hello to a bunch more loading screens. Clapton forbid you actually have to stand still for the 10 seconds it takes an elevator to get to its destination.
Just some more of whats already been said. More diversity with the planets. Im so sick of driving over mountains on every single planet I land on. While some of you feel the planets should have been more like KOTOR and having a city or out post on every single one. If youd taken the time to read the description on many of the planets, it explained quite clearly why colonization of the planet hadnt happend yet, or couldnt happen at all. Besides a town or outpost on every planet you could land on would make it feel more like KOTOR. Im gonna let you guys in on a little secret, THIS GAME ISNT KOTOR!! Just because Bioware made the first one doesnt mean this game has to play just like it.
Honestly, ME2 wouldnt need a whole lot of new stuff added to it. Just take what they already have, and push it to the next level. Make everything bigger and better. Better weapons, better armor, better mods, better skills. Keep the current formula flowing.
Mass Effect is without a doubt one of my most stand out video gaming experiences of all time, it's one of the few titles that actually delivered what I hoped it would. If there's anything I would want added to the formula it would be some fluff items, sure in the first one you're out to save the galaxy and there's really no time to sit down and do something trivial, but with such a living world around, it would be interesting to have some trivial meaningless activities to take part in. I'd also like to see more hair and facial hair options, I am a sucker for customization. Perhaps even introducing 'civilian' outfits in different shapes and forms. Just to push up the role playing aspects of it all.
The game is beautiful, but I'd like some optimization to be done, the pop-up textures didn't ruin the experience but it would be nice to have a bit less of it.
And as have been said before, the ton of 'empty' planets and lack of any real major colonies or cities of any type is a bit dull as well. More of that.
More of everything, basically.
Keep the elevators' cos the voice over was cool, plus like many have said it was a mask for a loading screen. Also it was a good way of unlocking missions. Maybe have the ability to pick up and use downed enemy's weapons. I'd like to see more of an emphasis on the reapers and their origins.
More varied planet exploration.
ME was pretty much go to the red planet, get in a fight, get something/talk to someone. Go to blue planet, do the same thing. Go to green planet and do the same thing. It just got old after awhile. Especially if you were doing all of the side quests.
Less technical issues with frame skips, a better menu system and less generic planets with more populated areas.
I would like to see the modern earth for example...

Yeah the frame skip was a bit of a problem. Then again that can be fixed. I was kinda disappointed that you didn't have the opportunity to visit the modern earth, or any of the other planets in the solar system. Would be kinda cool to drive the Mako on Mars.
I have a few things I would like in the next Mass Effect:
This ends my wish-list for Mass Effect 2, I believe.
Edit: Maybe some sort of in game pop-up screen that will give you access to the map and your journal without needing to open the start menu.

Same thing here. I'd enjoy some more fleshed-out side quests.

You can go to the moon and If I recall you can see Earth in the distance.

I have to disagree, BioWare following the same formula in KOTOR, i.e. planets each with a major city will not make the game KOTOR. Mass Effect has its own distinguishable enough theme and really any player should be able to distinguish it from KOTOR.
While the game was brilliant, exploring the uncharted worlds was abit dull, I for one would prefer 7-8 planets full of life opposed to the 30+ empty, recycled terrains. Im sure having subquests in such places would also increase the number of hours of gaming time.
Last but not least I want the citadel to be enhanced; having read the prequel book and various othe previews, I was really disappointed with how the citadel turned out in the end - it was rather too small for my liking.
I don't mind the elevators because they're a decent enough cover for loading but make the conversations less awkward between characters.
I have high expectations for Mass Effect II and I hope Bioware delivers and doesn't rush the game like it did with KOTOR II.

- However, how come Tali is the only Quarian in Mass Effect? Don't all Quarians go on a Pilgrimage?
- The mako parts are very dull. It either handles as well as a dehidrated, sedated camel or it turns into the freakin Batmobile and climes 80 degree mountain's, for God's sake!
- I want to visit a modern Earth
- More planets to visit per galaxy
- More cities per planets
- More stuff to do in cities besides side quests and buy weapons+armors. Wouldn't it be cool to actually see Hamlet performed by Elcors, or an alien comedy club?
- More main story missions to increase game time and some side missions that are actually fun unlike the A.I in the citadel that has you running around the Citadel
- And finally...more involvement of the main antogonist!!! You see Saren twice in the whole game. Actually 3 times if you count the hologram chat with the Council. I never felt as if he really was a bad man. In the game I actually thought that he had teamed with the Reapers to try and prevent destruction of the Universe. But then I read the( terrible) prologue and I realize that he actually WAS a bast***. Some coherence please, Drew Karpyshyn!

Hmmm, I read the prologue before the game came out and i have to say, i thought it filled me in nicely with the general backstory of this massive universe that Bioware just drops you into. Also, KOTOR 2 wasn't developed by Bioware, Obsidian took it over for some reason.

Bioware didn't make KOTOR 2.
1. More sections like the Citadel where quests can be completed without using violence. I got really tired of almost every sidequest involving going to planet X and killing everything.
2. More emphasis on non-weapon combat. If I am a level 60 adept with devastating biotic powers, I shouldn't have to resort to using a pistol/assault rifle while waiting for my biotic powers to cool down. Why would I even be carrying a sniper rifle if I can't ever train to use it?! Maybe have a biotic power bar which depletes but regenerates over time, like a force power bar in KOTOR.
3. More plot-lines involving your party members, e.g. romance, get Wrex's armour etc, which would then affect how they responded to you later on in the game.
