!! Mass Effect 2 - Chat and Hype Thread !!

Anyone else super excited for Mass Effect 2? I loved the first one and I cant wait for part2!
Having just played Dragon Age and also Mass Effect for a 3rd time, I find myself extremely stoked for this game.

Mass Effect1 had such amazing depth to its world and back story. If you took the time to read and listen to the info in the menu, it just really adds to the atmosphere and the game world that it brings to the table.

I also enjoyed alot of the character designs and the story was also very very good.

The gameplay was fun although fun around a few edges, still very very fun to me. Also I hope that they add more to some of the planets that you can go on and more NPC's.

Part2 looks like they are improving alot but still giving us the same epic feel to the game. Its comign out next month and I just cant wait!!! ;)

I still remember when I got Mass Effect and how hooked I was on the story! I just played that game so much when it first dropped! Usually games dont pull me in as much as Mass Effect did, its story and atmosphere just really pulle dme in.

What Kind of character are you going to make? Use an old one from Mass Effect1 or create a totally new one? Will you be good or Evil? What will your name be if you make a new one? Will you just follow the storyline or will you do side quests to?

Im definatly gonan buy this game, i had so much fun with the first mass effect the first time. Definatly wasnt as good a 2nd or 3rd time, but that first time I just had such a fantastic time.

I think there's a huge chance it will be the best game ever. I loved part 1 and BIoware has an excellent track record. i read the books as well, and the ME Universe is really well thought out.

This series is a brilliant concept - it has an epic storyline, diverse cast of characters,real time shooter mechanics, and plenty of level up options and upgrades and to top it all off takes place in a unique, futuristic scifi setting. It's not entirely original - but all these elements combined makes for an immersive, intense single-player experience that's way too good to pass up.

I have to say I was pretty impressed with the voice-talent they're bringing in the sequal - it's shaping up to be even more epic and darker than the previous game. Can't wait to play it.

Mass Effect and all Bioware games are videogames that I can just geek out on and just have the time of my life hehe. Love the stories and characters that they have in there games!!!

I just got my new Game Informer today and there was a whole write up on ME2 in it and it had a good deal of new information. A lot about the new SR2 Normandy provided by Cerberus and how Shepard get's some swanky quarters on it where he can purchase exotic fish for the aquarium and even use a station to customize the appearance of his armor. There was also a section about planet exploration and actually taking control of the Normandy when flying around a solar system. I highly recommend picking up an issue as soon as they hit the street if you aren't already subscribed to it.RAMRODtheMASTER

I can't wait for this game. The concept of being able to use your previous game's saved data is just awesome and I can't wait to see what happened because of what I chose to do. I love the new armor customization feature, and even the fish tank concept is cool, minor, but cool nonetheless. And anyone know if Liara will be in ME2? Or has it not been confirmed?

Why don't you use your good character once, then go back and use your evil one. You could even try mixing it up a little to see how things would play it, like if you used your good character but went through evil on ME2 or vise versa.

And I love BioWare. All I have to know when buying one of their games is that it's made by BioWare. I just pre-order everything they make now. I don't think they've ever made a bad game.

I'm so glad Bioware listened to the feedback they got from the first game and have made some good changes on MS2. Honestly, my only complaint with the MS-1 were the "empty" worlds. I really felt there was no excuse for that.

That was my only issue with the game aswell, was that some of the worlds felt a bit empty. But then again the first game was so big and amazing that I can understand why it was a bit empty with all the other things going on.
