Mass Effect - Ally Achievements

Do I need to complete any UNC or Privateer side-missions, in order to get the achievement points for Specific Allies Achievements (Soldier, Turian, Krogan, Sentinel, Quarian, Asari). Or will simply completing the main quest achieve fulfill the requirements. I've beaten it twice, thus far but the previous completions I did all the side-quests, so I'm not sure. Thanks in advance.

u have to complete about 75% of the game with the same person in your party, including missions and side quests. so yes you will most likely have to do those UNC quests

Do ALL the citadel quest, the 4 quests that require the citadel to turn in (Asari Diplomacy, UNC: Missing Marines, UNC: Privateers, UNC: Hostile Takeover), All the planetary sidequests, and about 3-5 additional UNC side quests and you should be able to get ANY of the ally achievements except the asari one. The asari ally one takes about 10 additional UNC side quests. You should be able to get all of them before going to Ilos, infact Kaidan and Ashley actually pop before you even go to virmire...doing all the citadel quests is key.

Make sure you dont get the quests until you have the party members in your group or they will not recieve credit for it.
