Since you say you have it, here's a weird idea, PLAY IT!
Its a great game, i suggest you to play it with the default face/class for the first time then for the second time maybe Infiltrator.
Overrated, but good for one play through. You should probably avoid the lame side missions.Bloodbath_87
HAHAHAHA says the guy that likes the WORSE and MOST overated TV comedy in the world, Lost, its not a comedy? then it really sucks bad.
I absolutely loved it. I just beat my first game a few hours ago. And it has probably the second best story i've encountered in a video game. Also a great cast of charectors, and the best dialouge and voice acting ever imo. Good/Bad choices and 6 classes make for great replayability also.
However, there is a ton of micro-managing, so the game might have a few too many trivial non-rpg-fans.
It's not that lengthly for an RPG though. I visited every planet, did every side quest, and leveld up my guy to level 43 in a little under 20 hours.
The game is an Action-Rpg to the core. So if your not into at least 1 of those, you should probably not bother.

Wow, dude, you need to calm that down. Take your Ritalin. It's good for you.
It's a pretty mixed affair. The second half of the main quest is really enjoyable as the story doesn't pick up pace until then. The rest of the game (exploring the non main quest planets) is fairly terrible. All they consist of is traversing a barren wasteland in the Mako (which is incredibly annoying) to find one of: anomaly, debris, mineral and a building. There's only 3 different buildings, all of which have the exact same interior.
There's other issues such as: poor AI, level scaling, frequent loading, texture pop-ins galore, 30 - 45 second elevators, horrible inventory screen, what Shepard says sometimes doesn't correspond to what you pick. With that said, the story is pretty solid, the dialogue is well written even though it takes itself too seriously and there's a large amount of lore to the universe. When you do get around to playing it, pick a female character. Her voice sounds better than Jack Bauer Shepard's.
I'd go into why it's a fairly weak RPG, but I'd end up spoiling the story and some quests for you.
