ok mass effect has an amazing story and it's realy well writen and executed, so by no means am i knocking it. i just kind of knoticed a mild discrepancy w/ a majour plot point.

if you havn't finished the game don't read any further this is your last warning!!!

ok the reepers came and destroyed the protheans along w/ all other organic life in the galaxy 50,000 years ago right? and this game takes place about 200 years from now. but 50,000 years ago from now humanity was leaving africa and moving north towards asia, so if this game takes place 200 years in the future, that means that by the time the reepers came, humanity would have just been reaching india. are we suposed to believe that while the reepers were destroying all organinc life in the galaxy they came across earth, saw humanity and were like "naw lets let em live" caus i kinda doubt that. plus all these other species in the game have had galactic civilizations for over 400 years in some cases, meaning that atleast some of them like the asari would have to be older then humanity.

i still love the game and it has an amazing story, theres just that one thing about the timeline that kinda bothers me a lil bit. i mean i guess i am thinking in terms of earth years, but they never say there not earth years in the game, and more importantly how to you even measure years w/ so many planets having different orbital periods?

Those are all theoretical numbers. We really don't know where humanity was 50,000 years ago.

Plus this game is science FICTION. Its telling the story Biowarewants to tell.

they were destroying the organic life that had advanced and space traveled. if they simply traveled to every planet and wiped them clean of life then there wouldnt be a story involved. and humanity is i believe younger than 50,000 years old. but not by much.

Yeah the Reapers had to leave low level forms of organic life, so more organic life could grow. because the Reapers eat them or smething
