which one is better?

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD Question, Usually I hate these questions because it's comparing two games that are so different that the answers obvious. This one I like.
Anyways
Mass Effect: The game is long a game. It will take you a very long time to finish all of it. There is a ton to do and apparently a fanatastic story line. It's good if you need a game to last a long time. It' snot perfect, some times it gets repetitive, but not enough to hate it.
Bioshock: Amazing emmersive experience. You really feel like you are in 1950s, fighting is extremely fun and strategic for a FPS. You will replay the game, and you will want to play the second one, but it is shorter then Mass Effect and probably a little more expensive the ME. If you want to get one and eventuallyg et teh other, ME will last longer. If you want an amazing theater like experience, bioshock is awesome.
There was one time I was playing Bioshock and the lights went out as opened a safe. I turned around and the lights turned on I was right in front of a bad guy who look so freaking scary. It was AWESOME because it wasn't a cinamatic nor a specific part of the game where it was meant to really scare you, it just worked out that way. I love it when that happens because it is so immersive. I personally think the story line for Bioshock is better.
I would get Bioshock because I like that story line and the way it plays out is fun. But I would also get ME eventually.
Thanks for the question
Easy Bioshock is just so awesome. It has freaky enemies, good firefights and horror...
However once you get Bioshock get Mass Effect, this game is amazing as welll...It has such deep gameplay.
I have both games. They are both masterpieces of modern gaming so it depends on what kind of games you like best:
Mass Effect is somewhat like Knights of the Old Republic (although I like Mass Effect better). It has deep gameplay and plays a lot slower than Bioshock. Also, you will have lots of important in-game conversations, which you'll need to think over every single time because they affect the story.
Bioshock is a FPS with some RPG elements. It plays a lot faster than Mass Effect and is fairly lineair (although the story is probably the best story ever to be featured in a game).
So: if you want non-lineair gameplay in a huge universe with lots of variation in environments and the choice to become good or evil: choose Mass Effect
if you want kinda lineair gameplayin a characterful world, with al kinds of creepy encounters andplot twists: choose Bioshock
Think about whether you like RPG's or FPS's. Did you like Oblivion/Fallout better than Half-Life 2? Then go for Mass Effect (although I hated Oblivion for being too slow and love Mass Effect, but hey).
My personal advise: buy them both! I got Mass Effect last week for 10 euro's (new!) and I traded in Mirror's Edge (which I bought for 9 euro's new) for Bioshock. They are both amazing games which belong in every gamers collection!
they're both excellent games, but i would say pick mass effect. Although bioshock is great it doesn't have as much replay value as mass effect, bioshocks replay value is good just not AS good as mass effect. Also their is alot more you can do in mass effect because it is a role playing game. however if you don't like role playing go with bioshock cause when i first played mass effect i hated role playing games.
I would get both if you're thinking of buying one or the other but the better is probably Mass Effect because it's open world, wonderfully well-written, and immersive, whereas Bioshock is only the latter two.
But Bioshock has WAY better graphics, if that's worth noting.
I would have to say Bioshock, just because after I started playing for the first time I was completely immersed in it. I couldn't put it down and was always wanting to see what would happen next. Mass Effect is easily just as good except at first it's a little disorientating once you become a spectre or atleast so I found.
Mass effect for sure. Bioshock story was unimpressive ur placed in an underwater city and they do a poor job of explaining things too you. I hate games where you have no idea wats going on and i felt this way in Bioshock. Go with Mass effect, ull never feel lost in that game and it is way more funreaver-xwow 4real bioshock story was uninpresive and u had no clue whats going on lol i think u need go play the game again and open your ears and beat the game not playing the first mission. here how about this i hate games that tell u the whole story and what u doing and everything in the first two lvls how about that
they are both realy good. i found the planets that you travel to in mass effect incredibly repetitive. basically you do the exact same thing on every planet and all they change is the skin of the planet. the terrain, buildings, things you collect, EVERYTHING else is exactly the same. It makes for an awfully boring time. The story however is famtastic as wel as the character design. I liked bioshock a lot. i just have a hard time with a utopian society that has vending machines with things that only cause destruction. all of the people that moved there for a utopia would have left post haste.
They're completely different and you can't compare them since one is shooter the other is RPG. But Bioshock is way better imoRobboElRobbowe arn't really comparing them it more like whitch one is better and have fun

I really like them both, but I'd have to go with Bioshock. It was a crazy idea, with one of the best game enviroments I've ever seen. I'm a really visual person, and the setting for the game as well as the amazing story made the game for me. I can't wait for Bioshock 2, and hopefully the game will last longer than the first.
