I was just wondering if someone could tell me how many assignments this DLC was made up of. I think that BDTS had like 5 or something like that. I'd like to get the character achievements and I just wanted to know how much this would help. Thanks!

2-3 assignment range. It only takes about 1-2 hours to do, but it is very boring. At the least, you spend six bucks for a very easy 150 gamerscore.

I'd also say it's not worth it unless you just HAVE to have more Mass Effect. It's just a brief combat simulator.

The thing I hated the most was the frequent freezing of my system.

I downloaded Pinnacle Station by mistake yesterday. I was thinking "Bring Down The Sky" and clicked through on P.S. by mistake. After I got BDTS, I decided to go do a search on PS to see what people thought and, after reading comments, I was a little miffed that I'd blown 400 points on it. But, I had it already so I figured I'd play it and see for myself. *Spoiler Space - although, dunno how you'd spoil this * I have to say most of what I read I have to agree with. Adds nothing to the story ... doesn't even fit into the game quality wise. There was no real ambiance to it. The sounds are minimal and the DLC just felt like something they threw out there. The simulations were ok ... nothing to write home about. With my Shepard (soldier), Tali and Liara I could have held that last simulation for 5 hours without a lot of effort ... it wasn't much of a challenge. Afterwards, I stopped off at my newly acquired pre-fab home and that's where my smirk turned to a smile. Yes, this DLC is not ME quality and no, I didn't have all that much fun except a couple of funny lines in there. But here's the thing, I've run around the galaxy time and again trying to find Tali some decent armor. The best I'd done so far was some Explorer X the 2nd time through with my soldier Shepard. Five minutes after beating the DLC mission and heading to my house, I had Colossus X armor for both Tali and Ashley and Savant X biotic amps for both Wrex and Liara. For me, the Colossus X for Tali and no more running around the known galaxy trying to find her some is worth the $5.

all the characters on my soldier playthrough have colusses X armour and Rage armour for Wrex (by far the sickest looking armour in the game, takes so long to find though) i have the savant X omni-tools (3 of em) but only 1 biotic amp unfortunately (those things are real rare normally) you become a little too powerful with the best gear, from pretty much feros onwards (including every assignment) i wasnt ever close to death on insanity. The level X master spectre gear is crazy, couple that with the level X upgrades and armour/amps/omni tools and you and your allies become pretty damn strong

It only had two missions.(I think) It only took between 1-2 hours for me to finish it all.

I have had really bad luck in the armor department. I bought every license I saw and I was finding and buying great weapons and amps, but could not for the life of me get the good stuff in armor or omnis. My soldier shep finished my first time through with some Predator L H IX. Think that name is right .. hard to remember .. ugly green camo. All this time I've found 2 sets Quarian armor for Tali (1st playthrough, some white and burgundy gear and 2nd playthrough I found some Explorer X). I will say on my second play through my luck has been a little better, but up to this point I'd only found 2 pieces of Colossus. I could head to Virmire right now, but I've been finishing up side assignments. At this point, the armor isn't a necessity, but now I don't have to keep an eye on Tali as much in close combat.

the best person for turian and quarian colossus armour is morlan in the lower wards, best person for amps/omni tools is the emporium shopkeeper and the best person for human armour is the c-sec requisitions officer.
Also the only licenses you need to buy are kassa fabrication (colossus armour), serrice council (savant amps/omni tools) and geth armoury (rage armour for wrex) all the rest do is take up valuable space in each go at a merchant.
I found rage armour on the normandy requisitions officer and the key is to save before any merchant, that way you can take a look at what he/she has then reload the save if you dont like it

I thought Pinnacle Station was decent for two reasons: 1) I liked the combat in Mass Effect and ever since it first came out I wanted them to release combat focused DLC. 2) For some reason the game refused to give me a partner achievement for one of my teammate despite the fact that I had them on my team for the same amount of time as the other person who got the achievement. That person was Garrus and Garrus is garbage at best imo. I was NOT going to play through again just to get the achievement so I saved my game right before the final mission and didn't play for months. I went to Pinnacle Station on that save, beat it and got the achievement. Yeah, it could have been better but I think the degree that people bash it to seems a little crazy.

Though I haven't got Pinnacle Station I can echo the comments of chaoscougar - after a while of playing you do reach a point where your equipment and weapons really become almost too powerful for the enemies you are facing, and it is only boss and mini boss fights at the end of major plot worlds that provide much of a challenge. One of the few achievements I have left to get is the use medi-gel 150 times - quite proud of not having that one! Trying to find the best X grade omni tools and biotic amp did take a lot of time, but when money is no object buying multiple suits of Master Spectre gear gives you a huge advantage - possibly why Bioware have decided to remove New Game + from ME2.
