mass effect underated, gamespot review$

I am playing mass effect and despite the technical issues i think this game deserves a 9 or more , i cant believe they gave it a 8.5 here on gamespot. On the other hand i rented assasins creed and i think its overated incredible graphics , nice combat but the repetitive gameplay makes this game boring and if a game is boring it deserves no more than a 5 .

Ithinkgamespotgets money for high scorereviewsand that is not bad,if gamespot was mine i would do the same , i work on marqueting and everything ismoney and this site is a goodplace to make good publicity. People on Gamespot needs money and deserves it but the reviews are loosing credibility

Anyway this is my opinion , what do you think?

i think that i've seen too many complaining about the same thing and that you need to get over it. the reviews are based off opinions, which is EXACTLY why assassin's creed got more than a 5.

Poor opinions. The glitches are the only flaw in the game. It's a 9.5 easy. Should be GOTY.

i think 8.5 is fair, its just other games getting much better score that makes the 8.5 seem weak

Really.. this again? Okay look you think it deserves a 9 and thats your OPINION with that being said the 8.5 score given to Mass Effect was what? A OPINION. Yeah! Your catching on now.

i'm glad others think the same way. half of the posts anymore are about how horrible/good a game is compared to the reviews it's getting. who cares what rating a game gets? i won't pretend to speak for everyone else, but when i buy a game, i but a game because I like it. and the keyword is I.

The game itself deserves a 9.5. The graphics r awesome, the gameplay is something really exiciting. The only problem are the glitches which normal due to the power and scale of the game. A well deserved Game of the year!

The plot, character interaction and main mission worlds are awesome. No doubt about that. The exploration of uncharted worlds and the side missions as a whole are the low point of the game, definitely not the same quality as the main mission which is understandable considering they were an experiment. The score seems fair to me because of that and besides, there's nothing wrong with an 8.5.

Mass Effect didn't have any full site advertising spreads or a trailer mixer thats why it failed.

yeeah i though the same thing too, before i played it. then after playing it i was like yeh. its def. not a 9 or 10. 8.5 is good but there was some things ME was missing, mainly the variety of side quests and its level designs-i mean does ever corridor look the same or what? and i honestly though this game was going to be open ended. i though this game was going to top Elder Scrolls for me but it didnt. i love space. but guess what game i went back to after i got done playing this yeh ES. but like people have said before me that ratings are based on OPINIONS, and even you have stated an OPINION, so i dont think its fair to constantly bash the sight for an OPINION! and it's not like they dont give valid reasons for there scores
