only buy very re-playable games, especially with this damn 60 dollar price tag now, I guess mass effect is a great rent, but you also can't go wrong with buying it, but it's got some technical issues that some people just can't look past.

Also, orange box is an awesome deal, if you like shooters, then this is a great choice, and with TF2, you'll be playing for a long time.

ya i probably wouldn't buy video games if i lived in austalia, $100 is way to much for a single game. i'm glad to see that the evening out of the canadian and US dollar is FINALLY taking it's toll here in canada and things like games are now $60 rather then $80

Yes, gaming is very expensive here in Australia (AUD$120 = US$104) and we often get games later than everyone else!

comparing mass effect and the orange box is like comparing apples and oranges:two different things for people with two different tastes. personally, from a buyers perspective, the orange box is a great deal. you have like 5 games for 60 dollars. mass effect is a great game if anyone tells you its crap then they arent fans of rpgs but its a great game. if anyone says its terrible its because they played it for like the first 5 hours and put it down when it takes about 6 hours for the game to open up. but they are two different games but if you were looking for something to hold you over with online play and plenty of things to do go ahead get the orange box, but if you are in need of a great story where you determine the outcome please get mass effect. its a the cake thus far in video gaming. (the cake is a lie)!!!!

Well, I've got both and I would have to say that Orange Box is far more addictive and fun. And in australia (where I live) I found a way to get two 100$ games for 80.

AUD$120 is rare though.... that's only in like the specialised gaming stores (e.b games, for example).

New release games generally cost AUD80-$105 here.... so like 70-92 USD
