i don't know much about Mass Effect (I'm forcing myself to not read up about it because I'm lacking money and don't wanna get hyped for something i can't afford), but i do know Bioshock looks amazing, if i had to choose it'd be Bioshock (but my opinion probably won't matter :P)

mass ffect is longer but i hope it doesn't become like oblivion did. i luved oblivion at the start but towards the end of the maon quest it became repetitive and drab. hope that doesn't happen with masseffeect
does masseffect have loads o action or is it just runninh around completing quests? does it have the shooting elements of an fps?sisilmet2000
Dude.... read an article or watch a video. It's a third person shooter with all the RPG elements you could ever ask for.
I want Bioshock badly after watching the new video, but nothing is going to make me happier than that drive home, walking into my house with Mass Effect in my hands, ripping it open, popping it in, and letting it consume my life.
Im so getting Mass effect it gives me water in my mouth when i watch it:D Theres something about killing little girls that are protected by a gigant robot that doesnt appell to me:P

wow two of my most anticipated games but i know how you feel the whole short on funds for gaming situation. I myself have still yet to play Gears of War, RSV, Lost Planet and a few others, not that i dont have the cash but i was in debt to my parents for about $1000 because i bought full season tickets for the Detroit Tigers this year.

Seriously, I think Mass Effect would have more gameplay for your money and you could play it over and over again one time(or more) for each species. However I think Bioshock is one of those games where if you beat it once it won't be apealling to you anymore like Fable.
Mass Effect and Bioshock will blow you away but as far as the games goI think Bioware cheated with Mass Effect making half the game decision making. Bioshock has this element without taking up thehalf thegame. You'll find bioshocks combat to work better, and the stories of both games are amazing. I have both games and Mass Effect Collects dust after it's second playthrough, while I play my third playtrhough of Bioshock, and I play another good choice The Orange Box.
Both Games are worth buying but if I had to choose between them I'd Chose BioShock
Rent Bioshock, rent Mass Effect. Mass Effect is a deeper game and it's most likely going to last you longer. Bioshock just plain lacks replay value, but it's one of the most amazing worlds in a game to check out. Mass Effect looks like a purchase, but Bioshock's one of the best rentals you could get
mass must be your cup of tea, bioshock has me coming back for more...............im addicted and want each acheivement!..............lol...............i think it just depends on the gamer!
Both games are my 2 favorite games I have on my 360 and after playing through both games twice id have to say i enjoyed Bioshock and Mass Efect equally so with that said I'd buy which ever game you could find for a cheaper price.
I have both, and I enjoyed Bioshock more. Mass Effect was a good start to the series, but it really failed to bring enough RPG elements into the game. It felt like a stale shooter with very few RPG elements.

Mass Effect. Bioshock is a good game, but not in the same league here. (though I do admit I am pretty much as close to a bioware fanboy as I can get w/o screwing myself over lol)
