I like these type of RPG's so i would be happy with either title but which one do u recommend? Knights or Mass Effect?

I also love star wars but i like other sci fi stuff too.

They are different games. I would recommend getting them both; they are THAT good. :)

As a series Mass Effect, but as a stand alone game KoTOR although I highly recommend the PC version.

You just can't quite beat the feeling of running around with a lightsaber

They're both made by Bioware, so there are tons of similarities. I don't know how particular you are about graphics, but KOTOR hasn't aged well, hell it looked subpar even when it was first released 8 years ago. However, it's still one of my top-5 all-time favorite games, and it's dirt-cheap since it's from a previous generation, so get that one first, then get Mass Effect when you've finished playing it.
