ME3 class selection and why?

Hey everybody. I'm wondering what class selection you chose when starting the game, why you chose it, and what your thoughts are about it.

I chose an engineer because I thought the turrets and combat drones would be a huge advantage at times. And while helpful, it isn't all I thought it would be. I'm considering starting over and changing classes while I'm only a few hours into the game, rather than spend multiple more hours just to play as somebody I'm not 100% satisfied with.

I started as a soldier and i am liking it so far. The only other class i tried was a Vanguard and it was underwhelming.

I've been an adept since Mass Effect 1. I love the long range combat, plus setting enemies up in crazy combos. ex: life them up and him them with a throw. Or just have a squad mate lift them while you take pot shots.

I use the Sentinel, as I find it to be the best of everything. I'm effective with weapons, tech, and biotic powers. Combine that with the upgraded shield available to Sentinel's and I'm pretty hard to take down. And the new lift grenade is pretty cool.

I played as a vanguard and i had a blast. I loved the close quarters combat.

i chose Vanguard. i play it with a sniper rifle instead of a shotgun. fits my playstyle better.

Biotic charge followed by Nova is just amazing. mix pull with charge and you got an explosion.

i will say, the recharge on barriers with biotic charge has saved my ass several times.

Soldier, I have 6 playthroughs through the first 2 games, one for each class, and the first save is a Soldier

On my first playthrough of ME3, I chose the Soldier class, because I imported a file all the way from ME1 and that's the class I had always used. I'm playing back through the series now using the Engineer class, and so I'll use that my second time through on ME3.

I've always used the Soldier.
