Well, that was one of my beloved series on a PC, why did they stopped it ??????? :(((((( 1) it was a Microsoft game
2) all the parts were awsome (especially 4)
3) this game doesn't have any competition so it would be a clear winner
4) they didn't extend the topic much, so there is a lot of space to improve, evolve etc.
They should make the next Mech Warrior for the 360 PERIOD. : )

Yeah MechWarrior was awesome and does need a new episode. Would like to see an open ended, you pick the missions style game with different factions and politics as well as that same great combat and customisation.

Still there is Chromehounds and Armoured core to satisfy your mech itch

Oh man. Mech Warrior 4 brings back old memories. They really should bring it back. Getting ejected from your mech and launching into space was pretty awesome.

Chromehounds is a crappy imitation and Armored Core is rather arcade. Mechwarrior was more about the sim side, and yeah that kinda robust open-ended game would be a dream and a total seller for any system it would appear on (I would even buy a pc with quad SLI to play this) ... I would also add a robust online component to the equation ... ahh, I wish someone from game industry would read it and decided, YES, THATS GONNA BE OUR NEXT 360 MEGA-PRODUCTION ... : )

I've still got the boxes for Mechwarrior 2, Ghost Bear's Legacy and Mercenaries on my shelf - proudly displaying Pentium Processor Edition!! LOL

Excellent games though it's been a while since I've played them. There aren't many mech games on 360, and as you've found out they aren't really the same thing. But since it is a fairly limited market compared to regular FPS games, companies look at it, see two games already there, and don't want to compete for a (relatively) small group of people.

I think the original games were made by FASA, which was bought my Microsoft, developed Shadowrun, then was closed down. Not sure what happened to the licences, but chances are MS still owns them and they are not doing anything with them :(

I'll stop know before critically overheating 8)
