If you have Call of Duty 4 or even 3 for that matter, then why bother? If you are looking for a great WWII game, then I guess you're sniffing up the right skirt, but if you want great, non-futuristic gameplay as well as respectable multi-player, then I would purchase / keep playing the game(s) I mentioned or wait a week for Battlefield: Bad Company.
I respect your wish for knowledge, so if you already have these games, are on tight budget, etc. then I am sorry that I wasted your time. Either way, my comment helps though because it keeps the topic fresh...;)

The game went well for the most part. Being a WWII fan of somewhat I really enjoyed it. It was pretty much by the book, until you got to the end level with supernazis holding MG-42s with gas masks that can ward off 10 sniper bullets to the head. Yup.
A little disappointed by now, I was waiting for Hitler to break through the walls with a walking mech equipped with missiles.
Multiplayer was really good to a degree. The allies on the roof with bazookas and same spawn spots excellent for camping ruined the multiplayer IMHO.
Ohhhhh. Don't get MOH: Airborne then. Get something else. If it has to be a WWII shooter, then get Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3 (Multi-player), or Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. If you like shooters and just want a good one (and if you have the cash), then pick up Call of Duty 4, Gears of War, Orange Box, Bioshock, or Halo 3 - I guess.
If you just want a good game, then get GTA 4, Oblivion, Mass Effect, GRiD, etc. Check user ratings on Gamespot.
Get on XBL immediately, if you haven't done so yet.
Coming from a person who has it. Its alot of fun. Short but fun. The multiplayer if anyone is playing is fun too.
MOH: Airborne was a decent game. It's fun and different but is extremely short and not historically accurate to say the least. To say the most about its historical accuracy, well let's just say that the developers got bored with history and tried to make their own. The AI is great, well atleast for the enemies, i guess they had to make it challenging, so they made your AI partners about as useless as a bunch of scarecrows. Also, you don't get the feel of a massive battle, there are usually only maybe 10 guys on screen at once, 3 or 4 of those being your partners. I enjoyed the short time i spent with the game, but thats probably because i didn't pay for it. It is worth giving a look see, but the best thing to do is hook up an Xbox Live connection and try out one of the demos section so you can get a general feel for the 360 lineup. If you cannot live without a WWII shooter, check out Call Of Duty 2, if you have never played a Call Of Duty game, please get number 2 and not number 3. If you are a fan of the series then you probably already know not to get Call Of Duty 3, it being a different developer and all, plus it is horrible for a game that uses the Call Of Duty title.
