As we know, Medal of Honor came into this world as a WW2 phenomenon. Great Series, but lost its luster as time and boredom eroded away the WW2 game scene. This recent footage of the new MOH shows a much more modern look, similar to COD. Do you think it will be better than COD? Do you think it wont even come close to the ground COD has made?

I personally think it has potential to try somthing intersting. Of course its way to early for an exact guess, but what do u think?

Please no "COD and MOH suck anyways" comments, no one cares.

It looks pretty awesome. I doubt it will be better than CoD, though.

I've only ever played Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, which was probably the best of the series considering it was developed by a big portion of the people who now make up Infinity Ward. That being said, I welcome a new Medal of Honor game as to be honest the Call of Duty series is really starting to bore me. It is hard to keep the gameplay fresh when a new Call of Duty game is released ever year (regardless of which developer is releasing it). Medal of Honor could be a better game but sadly it will never outsell the juggernaut Call of Duty series.

Medal Of Honor: Modern Warfare. Looked like a clone of CoD to me.

I think it'll be way better than any Call of Duty post-United Offense. EALA is a talented developer and I'm sure they'll do a great job.

MoH frontline and rising sun were some of the first games I got for my xbox and I loved them pacific assault was pretty good too. Though when I saw the commerical for MoH last night on spike I thought I looked kinda crappy just a rip off of COD which I loved from the first game aswell. I think MoH should have just picked a totally different war to go with.

MOH games when still made were always better than cod IMO, so this has a chance to be better.

And thankfully, MoH devs make pretty lenghty and good storylines.

It looks like the SP could be a lot better than COD's, especially MW2. I just hope it can hold the same fun factor as Allied Assault and its expansions in the multiplayer, only with more support. If so, I will definitely have to check it out for PC. That is, as long as they don't pull some half-*** move and totally consolify it and get rid of dedicated servers.

Based on what? A couple shots of gameplay which looked pretty much like a clone of the Modern Warfare games?

I'm not saying the game wont be great, but so far, it looks a little *too* familiar for my liking. Perhaps a bit late to the scene to really make a great comeback. They need to really shake things up and do something a bit different if they want to stand out from the crowd.

Based on the fact that previous MoH games have had great SP stories.

I think for people who love WW2 games (like myself) will like MOH more seeing as Infinity Ward are putting out rubbish these days.

But to be honest their latest game MOH Airborne was very poor on so many levels, having completed it twice its fun but lacks alot.

So what did you mean when you said 'looks like'?

Anyways, they've not made a Medal of Honor game in a while, and they'll also be very aware that multiplayer is a much more important component of a FPS these days, so there's really no telling at this point. Old Call of Duty games had more importance placed on single-player, too. But things change, ya know?

You're basing that assumption off of the idea that Infinity Ward is actually putting out 'rubbish', which I'm sure a very, very, very, very large percentage of people will disagree with.

No, im basing it on the quality of their older games which i have been playing for many years. And ofcourse alot will disagree because the majority of COD players these days are 10 years that are not even old enough to purchase the game let alone play it.

I think with Medal of Honor EA needs to shoot for a more realistic expereince. Now I'm not talking like Operation Flashpoint or ARMA II realism, but a happy middle ground between arcadey and realistic.

That'd be great. Kinda like Ghost Recon on Extreme Risk. Not too realistic, but not arcadey.

Im being inaccurate? I happen to know that alot of kids play COD:MW, who have their parents get the game for them.

And yes i do think that COD MW is utter rubbish, each his own, if you can't accept that then don't post.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the SP of the original COD1 and COD4. However, every other COD game I've played hasn't been that greatin the single player department, including COD:MW2. Sure it has a few intense moments, e.g. Favela and No Russian, but, overall, most of it seemed like rehashed levels from COD4 without any sense of the intensity of its predecessor.

MOH, on the other hand, usually handles its single player very well. The video for the new one also looks like it uses actual scripted sequences as opposed to the approach MW2 took, which was basically the player gets knocked down somehow and feels a stunned effect almost every time. Gameplay-wise, it may be very similar aside from the use of lean (which seriously, how can you leave that out of a military game?), but I don't see how it can't be better than MW2 in the story and story-telling department.

'A lot' is different than saying 'a majority'. You do realize that, right? And you specifically said 10-year olds, so unless you can prove that over 50% of the people who play MW2 are 10 years old, then yes, you are obviously being inaccurate.

And I have no problem with you not liking MW. My problem was with your assumption, that was *based* on the idea that Infinity Ward puts out rubbish, which I doubt most people would agree with. So if most people dont agree that Infinity Ward puts out rubbish, then your assumption is wrong.

Make sense now? Or is this still going way over your head?

I was saying that IW's newer games are **** in comparison with their older ones, but i guess alot of MW players wouldnt know that since they propbably havnt played the older ones.

Im not saying that everybody who plays it is 10 years old i was being sarcastic, but their is a large amount of players who are in that age range.

And id say my assumption is correct to an extent, atleast about MW2 as there was alot who did not like that game.

one of my favorite shooters was the PSP Medal of Honor, I didn't have any next gen consoles at the time and would spend countless hours on my PSP playing that game, it was great. The MoH series needs this reboot to bring it back to it's roots, because I always had more FUN playing MoH than the frustration that came with the CoD series.

You get that in every game, does that mean that EVERY game has a majority of players that are 10 years old? Not even close. I have had very few screaming kids lately in MW2 games, no where near as bad as Halo 3.

I think Call of Duty is far more established now. I used to love Allied Assault, but that was the last game in the series I played and enjoyed.
