Which to buy?

I heard Mercenaries 2 has lots of bugs, but South American themed destruction would suit me more than Mars themed destruction.

I can overlook some bugs as long as game is playable, has destruction and is fun.

Mercenaries 2 is also quite hard to find for acceptable price.

never played M2 but heard its quite poor in terms of...well, everything.

my bro has RF:G and its good but not great. the destruction is pretty incredible but thats basically what the whole games about and the novelty wears thin very fast.

graphics are decent, nothing groundbreaking but then again theres little in the way of variety and its VERYrepetitive i.e. go there blow some shi* up, rinse and repeat...

so my verdict is that you get neither game actually...try something like GTAIV if ur lookin for a quality open-world adventure (not saints row 2).

I think its funny everytime says that GTA has more mission types than red faction. They both have driving and assassination "killing missions". But then in RF you can drive mechs and go sabotage buildings. Go blow up a bridge. Idk, for me GTA gets repetitive way faster. Idc how big the world in GTA is. It takes like 10minutes to drive across the RF map when you unlock all the areas.

yeh thats great, if you dont mind looking at bland, boring and red landscapes. theres nothing in RF's world, its just rolling red hill after rolling red hill...

GTAIV's world seems almost alive with all the things going on around you, its nearly a living breathing reality in itself..plus mate, the GTA series is reknowed for its incredible diversity and originality, even after like 10games...its quality....how many games have you abducted a celebrity blogger, whisked him away in a helicopter, scared the living shi* out of him and then chucked him out to fall to his death AND THENjumped out after him, catch him in midfall, open your chute and float safely back to ground(the ballad of gay tony)??? plus about a million other missons i cant be arsed mentioning

man, if that aint original i dont know what is

you stand the two titles up beside each other, there is little in the way of competition....

To answer your question, I would go with Red Faction : Guerilla. IMO I find it to be my second favourite open world game behind Grand Theft Auto IV.

Definately Red Faction. The most underrated game on the 360 in my opinion.

i recently got red faction from that darksiders promotion and i think it's pretty fun. i've never played mercs 2 but from what i've read i think rfg would be the superior choice
