Message to all GeOW players

1. STOP WHINING about the Lancer. Yes its different. You know what? In some ways its better. Its more powerful? LEARN TO USE IT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE. Relearn how to use the Lancer, and DEAL WITH IT.

2. Im sick and tired of people stacking the teams on ranked matches. I also want the new achievements. I just spent ONE HOUR trying to find a game where the teams werent being stacked and couldnt find one. NOT ONE. Every time i would go in a room I would always hear "hey man, go to locust please". Immediately I would leave.

If you are like me, and you HATE this too, PLEASE dont put up with it and just leave the room. If possible, find out what time of day there are the most people playing online (it can vary depending on your time zone, country, etc.), and host a game yourself. This way you can be 100% sure that there wont be any stacking (stackers love to have host advantage). Furthermore, if less people fall in the trap, they will have a harder time doing it. This is exactly the reason why i gave up on the 10,000 kills achievement and have been playing player matches for the past 2 months, cuz im tired of dealing with people playing unfairly. But now I would like to have the new achievements and the problem is MUCH worse.

I think you miss the point chief. There are no advantages or disadvantages for COG and Locust it comes down to preference. What he is saying is that the WHOLE POINT of ranked games is being pitted in a room with 7 other strangers and COOPERATING to win. That is the entire reason epic removed the name of the host in ranked matches the first update.

Why COG though. There is only one difference between the teams that Ive noticed. Thats the breathing. Psh, and I thought I breathed heavily.

there is no difference. locust breathe loud when they run or hit a wall but COG have the metal rattling when running or hitting a wall, so its equal. but like ppl said, thats not the point.

Why don't you say something to Epic? They need to get a real matchmaking system. Gears has a horrible system. They really need to copy Halo 3 and let a group of 4 friends fight a group of 4 friends.

Every game needs to take H3's system. It should be mandatory for XBL.

Epic is forcing us to use a weapon that we don't want to use, and I don't want to hear you complain about us complaining. You're not helping and we don't care what you think.

But Gears won the Game of the Year Award.... so this game must be great online, offline, balanced weapons, etc. Unless Gears did not deserve the award.

I'm not sure Gears of War won GOTY because of the multiplayer...if that where the case than Unreal Tournament 2004 should have won too.

Believe it or not it DID WIN BECAUSE OF THE CAMPAIGN. Yes, it was short. Yes, the story was little to non-existent. But this won it the title. I still love the campaign more than online play...all GoW2 needs is 4-player co-op!!!

Personally I would have voted for Oblivion for GOTY.

I agree, and after playing the Beta its hard for me to go back to the current games owned for reasons like this. I hate that I can only play with my friends by creating a room and waiting for an hour just for one person to finally show up just to leave within a few minutes because hes the only one(other than friends). We can join a game but its rare to find one in the lobby and we get stuck with mixed teams.

Riskers the Halo system actually puts the friend list to good use and playing ranked games with friends is important considering your playing a TEAM game. The onlline community is horrible so forcing the annoying people on your team is stupid.

I agree to the extent that user side hit detection needs to be put in place and that would solve the lancer not being worth much. Its still useful, just not as much as the default MACHINE GUN should be.

how about instead of leaving the match when they ask u to switch sides u just pretend like u dont hear them and stay on the team ur on, or just tell them no...Soul_to_Squeeze

then they close the room and do it again.

When did I say I play ranked matches? Even though it does have more competition I rarely play it. Players Match is what my opinion was based upon. Its still hard to get a good game goin. About 2 hours ago I had to deal with a 2v1 match with 2 of my buddies and still not a person joins. It seems like people on join the rooms seen with 5+ already in. We end up playing Halo 2 and thats not fun especially after the Halo 3 beta.

A Good thing to say to all that thinks the Halo 3 BETA looks like Halo 2 in HD is that you are completely WRONG.

hes not trying to say COG is better than Locust hes just using that as a example to get all the people they know on one team. by best team he means the team with the best players/friend that they know thats how their stacking the teams.

It's hard to find an even game that doesn't include stacking or glitching, but when you do, this game is great :P

Don't tell him to "stop crying". My friends don't play this game so I'm never on a "stacked" team. I like games that are even and have you think damn that was close after each round. Some people (actually, most) like to just get kill after kill just to see every new player leave after 5 minutes and then laugh at them "haha he left, what a noob". I too leave when the host does nothing to make the team even, it just isnt fun. (im talking about player matches btw, I never play ranked)

The people that don't like the lancer being stronger are the shotgun wh0res, so the update is fine by me.

u know the lancer/pistol is the best gun when u have reliable teamates right?

So what are the points of clans then? If we can only play with our friends in player matches but not ranked that is just stupid. Sure letting your friends go on the enemy side just so you can improve each others skills achievments etc, sure I see that as being unfare, but I think it is absolutely retarded that you cant play with friends in a ranked match as long as your on the same side, again by doing this what is the point of having clans and so forth if in games like this your "clan" cant rank up as well?

Honestly though I gave up on Gears a long time ago online wise. The options are nothing but pure death match, nothing interesting. The commmunity is nothing but garbage little brats running there idiotic mouths, singing, etc. I wish MS had some kind of screening process before aloowing these idiots to make accounts online.

I dont understand all this fuss about what people are doing when playing in the game, since they also spent money on it its theirs and they can stack teams, use the best weapon, camp, even glitch.

At the end of the day what is in the game and can be done should be done and people shouldnt be feel forced to play in any other way than they prefer.
