Well I was just reading the September issue of The Official Xbox Magazine, and I read the part with the rumor mole. It said that Metal Gear will come to 360. I quote "The Mole has learned from a bankable source that Konamiwill be bringing Metal Gear Solid4 to the Xbox 360. A separate, non-Kojima-led team will handle the port, which will ship a few months after the PS3 version." I really do hope this is true, but hey, it's only a rumor.

This rumour has been around for awhile. I'm sure we will see a 360 version kinda like substance on the first Xbox.

Do you really belive that Konami could afford NOT to release it on the 360? Cause in reality if they wanna make a profit off the game then they need to port it to the 360,especially with the PS3's sales figures not as good as Konami expected them to be. Regardless I don't doubt the game will sell PS3's but the way things are going they kinda don't have a choice to not port it over.

i said DONT be a fool. how could you be so ignorant to think its impossible? ... and when did i say i honestly believe it would come to 360? :| I just wouldn't be surprised if it was ported. It's really stupid for a 3rd party developer to be exclusive to the ps3 right now. Porting it to the 360 could mean 2 or 3 times the profit. And we've already seen a MGS game on xbox. So what's the difference between MGS4 and MGS2 that means it'll never get ported?

It is EXTREMELY doubtful. They wouldn't be able to get permission from Kojima san. He wants it to stay PS3 exclusive, which is a good thing.

That is true. Considering MGS never has really been up there in sales (like Halo, GTA, or Mario) they eventually would have to release it to the 360 to recoup their costs. PS3 owners, no need to fret you are still playing the game and you shouldn't care if another system gets it. You should want that so another game is released (no Kojima-San will not retire  after MGS4, remember after 2???)

:lol: i could care less about a ps3 game.....im looking forward to mass effect,blue dragon,lost oddysey,assassin creed,halo 3 and bishock....rather then worry about a game being ported to the 360....for all i care....they could release it on the pc....i still wouldnt buy it.....the only thing i wanna know is how the game ends.....and i can find that on the internet

LOL...man you really must be dissconnected from reality, I didn't make this thread,I'm just replying to it. If you really know what's up then you would know that this rumour has been going around for awhile and it's coming straight from the game industry itself. Rememberthe Devil May Cry 4 rumour?

Dude Gamespot,1up,ign have reported the rumour for ahwile, how can we be spreading rumours when the people starting the rumours actually work within the game industry? I mean even the president of Konami made comments about thegame coming to the 360. Why do people get so defensive when it comes to MGS coming to the 360? If anything gamers should be happy about it.

While yes, the game is built from the ground up to run on the PS3, people think 360 owners are going to see a ported version of it in the future, which isn't going to happen.

If they can get past the exclusiveness of the game for the PS3, the xbox 360 can definitely run it. I love MGS but alot of the animations are from MGS 3 and the graphics weren't amazing in motion. The cutscenes look way better. The explosion were also lame. I know it sounds like Im bashing the game, but I am a huge Metal Gear fan, but the presentation on the PS3 didn't scream next-gen.

I don't think that you can really say that. MGS is like eating oysters. Either you like it or not, but it still is a respectable game. I'm not a fan of all the cgi and cinematics and the game in general but a large group of fans including many 360 owners like it.

If this does happen I will fall over with laughter at outbreak. Just because of his blatant denial of the matter. No one knows, time will tell but the fact that this rumor fails to die is interesting.

Even though Kojima owns the rights to the franchise doesnt Konami have rights to MGS4 as a developer so if they wanted to they could port it?

I think Bill Gates will gets this game multiplatform he has the money. Plus gamepro was talking to Shane Kim about MGS4.

so what if Kojima said it? his opinion doesn't count if Konami says the opposite thing.

Even though Kojima owns the rights to the franchise doesnt Konami have rights to MGS4 as a developer so if they wanted to they could port it?
