MGS on 360?

Can we please stop this? It's been confirmed PS3 exclusive from the start. It has been reconfirmed PS3 exclusive 2 months later. It has been reconfirmed PS3 exclusive beginning this year and finally, it has been reconfirmed PS3 exclusive (even by Peter Moore) during E3.

It's not coming to Xbox 360. Which gives me a reason to buy a PS3.

Shame most of the confirmations came from Sony, which makes them practically worthless these days, it was as if they were hoping by saying it often enough then it would actually be true. Konami said themselves they would look at MGS on other formats if the PS3 fails to shift enough units. Hideo may not like it but at the end of the day its not his decision.TTDog

They even confirmed it at E3. :|

That means Konami was agreed with that if they mentioned it. Seriously, its not coming. I would want it to come to 360 so I won't have to get a PS3, but if you just stop dreaming for one second you knew it wasn't coming to 360.

No it wasn't. GTA's were always timed exclusive to the PS2. GTAIII was the only title that only few people knew it would be going to other platforms. But with later installments it was pretty much said from the start they would only stay exclusive for 12 months.

GTAIII was also never confirmed exclusive to begin with. They just didn't say anything about the PC version. MGS4 has been confirmed exclusive. There is a difference.

Personally I couldn't care less, dull over rated games overly filled with cinematics.TTDog

Really though, you won't find any experience like it in other games. It holds one of the best stories ever and it's story telling is very good. It just can't be missed in my opinion.

I just hope 360 gets MGS4, it would all make sense for Konami. Would you want less sales or more sales? We all know the answer. Also it's a 3rd party publisher, I don't see why a 3rd party publisher wouldn't want to go multiplat.

I don't believe them keep saying MGS4 is exclusive to PS3, you just can't trust what Sony says no more.

I just hope 360 gets MGS4, it would all make sense for Konami. Would you want less sales or more sales? We all know the answer. Also it's a 3rd party publisher, I don't see why a 3rd party publisher wouldn't want to go multiplat.

GTA 3 and Vice City were never touted as Timed Exclusives, Sony paid a bundle for them and made a big deal about there PS2 exclusiveness and the fanboys would laugh that they would NEVER see the light of day on the Xbox... and look what happened.

As for the Sixaxis elements, they look nothing more than after thoughts, there are far more uses for a RUMBLE feature than a crappy little motion sensing function that was thrown in the controller to hide the fact that Sony didn't want to pay for the Rumble functions.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I personally think MGS is a great game and MGS4 will obviously do very well. If you don't like it, don't buy it, enough said.

I don't think so. I have little doubt prior to E3 Sony paid Konami allot to keep it exclusive. Hence, the confirmation. And after E3, I think PS3's will be selling allot better then before. Sony showed they were all about meaningless technology to most people at E3 in 2006. At this year's E3, however, they showed they were all about the games. It will sell better I think.

Personally if MGS4 comes to 360 it would just give me another format NOT to buy it on.TTDog

Same here. I never really got into that series.

A lot of the Sony E3 stuff just reaked of desperation, like they knew that if they didn't get something going they were going to fall even further behind... if Konami said this were going elsewhere, whether it be 360, Wii or even PC, it would have killed them in the water.

its not completly 100% confirmed that it is exclusive. With all this hype surrounding an xbox 360 release, im sure eventually it will. kojima or w/e probably really wants to makean xbox 360 release because it will obviously pull more money in, they are probably just worried about the ps3 fanbase.

anyways, itll be timed exclusive on ps3 and after a couple of months it will come out on the 360, BUT, Metal gear online has a MUCH MUCH better chance of comming out on the 360 simultaneously as the ps3, that may explain them making the Mulitplayer game separate. But i wont buy either,

Crappy gameplay + stupid story + Dumb characters (raiden in mgs2....god have mercy) + 20 min long cutscenes = ME BUYING SPLINTER CELL!!!

It will come out, maybe after a year or so.... Just because Konami is a 3rd party company, and the developing cost of MGS4 must be extremely high... Kojima's team won't be working on the port though...

Despite the coolness of the series, check the numbers, it didn't sell as much as people thought, even with the large PS2 user based. MSG isn's so big here in Japan; Final Fantasy being a much more popular series. It's more cool to look at, hard to play series.... The series is much bigger in the US.

like i've said before...if the PS3 doesn't start selling. and i don't mean this lil drops in a bucket type sales that fanboys are on here so excited about. selling to the level of being a phenomenon that sweeps the world. selling major units in a short period of time and actually gain some growned on the 360 or Wii and make it a real competition.

seriously, with delay, after delay to the game and with all the work and money being put into it. do you really think they're going to only sell it to 4.5 million people. especially with 11 million people willing to buy it. above everything else they're business men. there not going to spend all this money on a game and then take a huge loss on it knowingly because of loyalty to the PS3. unless something amazing happens i definately see the game coming to the 360 after some time.

Didn't they say the same thing about MGS 2, and look at that, Subsistence. I still beleive that MGS 4 will not sell as many PS3 as Sony is hoping, I LOVE MGS, but I am NOT wiling to drop $470 (The system and game) just to play it. I also beleive that there are thousands of people who feel the same way as I do. I think that a couple of months after it has been released for PS3 Konami will scramble and release/revamp it for 360.
