I bought a PS3 at launch for this title, and honestly, I am glad I did. The game is absolutley amazing. *Ofcourse I am a huge MGS fan so this is just my opinion*
I bought a ps3 exactly a year ago...havn't played it much, I'm always on my 360...I think I might get MGS4 if only to see if my ps3 is still working :P
I already have a PS3, but after watching the pre-launch interview, I have a feeling we'll see MGS4 on the 360.RagdollMan98
Not sure we will to be honest. The makers had trouble fitting all the data on a 50gb blu-ray disc so by that rational if we want it on the 360 we'd have a 5 cd box set :) Unless the 360 goes Blu-ray which its not likely to do.
I purchased my PS3 in February for exclusives and blu-ray which is awesome. I only have 5 games for the PS3 though - 6 tomorrow when I pick up MGS4. I have 33 games for the 360 which I just got back monday (rrod).
If MGS4 was the only title i wanted on the PS3, i wouldn't buy one. But i got my PS3 for Socom, Little Big Planet, GT5, Killzone 2, along with others including MGS4. I'm just glad something is finally here to play on the damn thing.
I have thought about buying a PS3 in order to play MGS4. I have long been a Metal Gear fan; dating back to the 8-bit NES days.
But as others have mentioned, it makes no sense to spend $500 to just play one game. Even if the game may be a game of the year. I know I will eventually end up buying a PS3 when the price and time is right and when I can afford it (bills, gas money, etc.. all take priority of a ps3 unfortunately).
Na, as much as I love the MGS series, it isn't going to make me buy a PS3. One good exclusive will never be enough to make me consider a purchase of that scale, lol.
Buying a $500 console to play one game seems a little silly to me. I like the MGS series as much as the next guy, but not enough to throw down for a new console.
Meh, I'm gonna wait till the PS3 has some more exclusives, or at least some exclusives that dont call themselves 'Halo Killers'.I dont even know if MGS4 is going to be good, I dont really like the idea or running around as some old guy even if it is Solid Snake
