Actually, not just companies, EVERYONE rips stuff off of everyone.

I know what you all mean by saying a company "rips" off someone else, but the only way to develop or make new ideas and inventions is (in many cases) to borrow new ideas and elements to make a superior product or service.

This is all a part of business, I think the rivarily between Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft is doing wonders for the gaming industries, because of all the excellent games, and excellent game sales, companies are producing great games, and making good money, leaving customers (gamers) happy.

The only thing that worries me is the whole bunch of fanyboys and boycotts! I mean seriously people, grow up a little! There video game systems! There not your life! Sure, they are expensive, and you are dishing out a couple hundred bucks, and money for games, but DO some research before you buy a system, maybe test it out, see if you like it! And if you don't then deal with it! Dont go posting around forums because you hate it, or you regret buying it! Or you love Sony a lot more then Microsoft or vice versa.

This is big business, and it always will be...

Just some insight I wanted to share.

It's just rumour and the screens look like pure crap and are definetly not MS product. Not to mention HOME hasn't even proved itself as a worthy investment nor does it represents MS core product focus that is to "make great games". I won't be suprised if this is fake as it seems totally uncharacteristic of MS.

Also the source is really crappy and shouldn't be taken seriously, i mean the rumour started on a forum after all...

the idea of having a home type setup for live is kool but i wonder will it slow the centrl server down ??? id sew if we had to have this new feature like the stupid UPDATES GAAAAAAAH hate those , and if thet do do it it could be a good thing but it BETTER BE OPTIONAL I HATE FREAKING BS THAT GETS IN THE WAY OF PLAYING ONLINE

Sorry to burst some peoples bubble, but HOME doesn't have a purpose.

You go online and wander around a fairly empty place and chat to other strangers with a limited amount of preset messages. You can walk through several loading screens to reach a cinema to watch a game trailer on less than full screen, or go and play pool, bowling, or an arcade machine. Yeah sounds like fun if this was a free flash game for your TV.

But NEWFLASH you've already paid £300/$600 for a proper GAMES system, not to play communal pool or space invaders.

When I turn on my console I want to play games, not wander around a pointless landscape talking with others about wanting to play games. Which would you rather be playing - that game you just bought with fantastic graphics and gameplay, or a MMO memory friendly (in other words poor) graphics game of pool

Anyway.... if this proves to be true...which I doubt, here are my pie-in-the-sky hope for it:

• That it does NOT replace existing gamerpics. Instead it would be another option.
• As you reach predetermined gamerscore levels, you gain access to more and more items to accessorize your avatar and "gamepad"
