I just got Error 74 and tried everything its says to try i was just wondering if Ms Repairs this for free and if i just told them it was rrod would they fix it or just send it back? thank you in advance
I just got that about a month ago. I called MS and was all ready to give them my extended warranty info when the rep said it was a hardware failure and it would be fixed for free. My console was about 2 and 1/3 years old when I called.
Damn you, you should feel bad, jk. I got my same console back. I'm sure they replaced all the internals on mine, because my dvd drive was acting up and I have noticed it doesn't run as hot or as loud as it used to.

i get the same thing right now juss wen u get it turn on ur console and leave it until u get 2 red ring then when u do turn off ur console let it cool down then it should work ..works fine for me and i did it like 4 times
no man i made the topic yesterday but i sent my xbox in about two weeks ago i was nervous that they were gonna send back my same console so i wanted to know if anybody else has tried this so on and so forth it was due to be deliver tomorrow but to my surprise they drooped it off today and ITS A THING OF BEAUTY

Don't feel bad about it. Microsoft is the one who made the poor quality consoles in the first place. Besides, any company that charges $180 for a 120 GB HDD deserves to be taken advantage of.
