All the Microsoft games like HALO 3, Gears of War, Mass Effect, and many others are very similar....can u point it out? Yep....all r sci-fi games, set in future, etc. Microsoft needs a rest in this trend give some more appealing games a try. I am hugely impressed with Alan Wake from Remedy...the graphics, the setting are all very natural and i know the storyline will be fantastic, people r more engaged in games like Alan Wake as its atmosphere is extremely believable than sci-fi ones. I am saying is Microsoft should lay off sci-fi for a while and focus on games like Alan Wake. They could also help themselves by buying Remedy, in that way, the talented folk over there can bring more games like these and of course....Max payne 3. What do u guys think?

the developers create the games, including story and setting, not MS. you do make a valid point though, Alan Wake does look cool, but it becomes risky for developers. to try something not done before, if dont before to expand on it.

i think you should look at the sales of halo and gears.  ms is giving the public what they want.  ms will make what ever will sell the most,  so it is the consumers that are decideing,  not ms.  as for trying something new look at psycinauts.   the game got rave reviews but flopped so hard it bankrupted the company.  lesson learned.  give us what we want.  we want more halo.

Look at Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3, The Outfit, Blazing angels.

What do they all have in common? They are all WWII games. Why? Cause world war II has a lot of material, and it is fun to play. Just like Sci-fi.

Truth is, the real world is boring. So unless your game is based on war or is based on a world you create, their isn't much left to do.

Exactly. I don't play a game for realism or a real world. I play a game for imaginative settings, like space or another planet.

Remedy is a good studio I love Max Payne but like other people have said its what the public want and also the real world is boring how fun would it be save the world from global warming? not very. save the world from a relentless alien juggernaut sounds like fun to me.

I myself like Sci-fi games, As i cant wait for Mass Effect. I am jusy saying that, there are just too many of them already or we dont need any more sci-fi games. If the 360 library is varied, that it would make alot easier for us on buying games.

Naw, I don't agree. Developers make what people what, and most 360 owners like sci-fi shooters, I know I do.
