I'm excited about Splinter Cell: Conviction, Crackdown 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Bioshock 2, Modern Warfare 2, Mafia II, Just Cause 2, and all the other good games coming out that I can't remember the names of.

And I'd like to see more of Project Natal.

Project Natal suprisingly bored me.

That Alan Wake game though looked surprisingly interesting to me.

i can imagine RTS games being easier to play with this technology... also simple arcade games like chess or connect four would be attractive for the casual audience.

Project Natal really got my attention at Microsoft's Press Conference. I was incredibly shocked and impressed with the no controller motion sensor. Facial recognition and voice recognition haven't really been done on consoles to this magnitude. The demo with Milo looked really groundbreaking for videogames. HOWEVER, even though Natal was impressive, the real question is what kind of games can you play on Natal? Don't get me wrong, I liked Natal, but lets face it; the games that a system has will define their success as a system. If you don't have the great games, the system will not be successful. Example, NES, SNES, PS1, PS2 had a great library of games and all systems were a success. I'm not really all thrilled about the drawing a picture or that ball game that was demonstrated. I mean it looks great, but there needs to be more and there needs to be more variety to keep me interested. I'm curious about Project Natal, but I'd like to see more. Still, I'm very interested. The no controller would be a nice break from traditional gaming with a controller.

If Natal works then there are plenty of games it could work for. But what developers should look out for is that if they can't find any use for it then don't use it! That's why (for me) the Wii failed, developers have to use the Wii-mote and often decide to not make anything for it at all as they know many Wii-owners dont have a regular controller. As for Natal, interactive storytelling games would reach new levels, imagine a horrorgame where it's really you walking through the halls, it would feel far more intense. Or what about a shooter? Being able to look around corners by moving your head. You wold eb far more aware of yor surroundings and movements the you normally would.

But that's IF it works. I have no doubt that it could lead to better sport games then the wii-mote as basic extreem movements aren't hard to capture. But interesting concepts require amore accurate meassurement of movements AND voice recognision. The last has never been done right, especially with registering emotions and the first seems to only work in the ''vision'' clip that wasnt real. So if in 1-2 years Natal does what it promises then it's goign to blow us all away but it's a promise of something that seems futuristic right now. I don't see why it would or could work.

That is well summed up ronnet. I'd love to try a horror game like Dead Space using Natal. If Natal does live up to the hype and expectations, it will certainly blow us all away. Even though it's still in early stages of development, I'm just interested to see how useful and how powerful Natal can be.
