Where are the adventure games? I mean come on theres just way to many shooters, it's across the board top to bottom. This console is seriously lacking variety. No fighting games either I mean come on, Almost "every' anticipated title is a shooter(fact). How in hell can the 360 be the top of the the consoles in the future with these titles. This system is seriously starting to be a disapointment for me.Been a big fan for xbox since 2001 but come on Microsoft dont let people down and support variety that will be key to winning a fans heart like myself.Yes this is QQ but im just being honest and if they keep this up Im more then likely gonna disowned the 360.OoSuperMarioO
Well, 360 is a major shooter game platform
Microsoft sure loves their guns!! Now if you would excuse me.....(shoot,shoot,shoot,shoot,reload,shoot some more) (Checks)
Missed damn!!!Â
Look at the ratio between good variety games to shooters, there's a big difference guys.Lack of innovation is ruining the gaming business.Sad part is the young have to grow up with these games.
all the guys/girls sitting around at home jobless that have the fresh new original ideas for games are the ones who should be hired. Everything made these days is all rehashed bullsh*t to make more money. gokuofheaven
Let me guess you're unemployed right? lolÂ

That comment is really an interesting point and a respectable mark.
i agree with you in principal but i much prefer shooters to any other genre so it's fine with me. i wish ms would do a deal with namco for tekken though.wanker12
Tekken 5 is coming to the 360 within the next few months... It was only a timed PS3 exclusive.

no lol actually i'm a Conceptual Artist / Creative Director who recruits people who have fresh ideas. It's sad to see the same ideas put out on the market over and over again with "next-gen" graphics.

Im an artist myself concept artst thoush so to speak.Microsoft should support more tools maybe so guys & girls like us can just develop our own titles with a bit of an ease.Nintendo is really trying to push this innovation thing along with control mechanics but it just isnt enough when you have major companies pushing for this "next-gen" graphics.Really is becoming a sad story for the game business.Â

Today we see the same type of shooters coming out on the 360, same type of racing games, same type of adventure games. Biggest problem is taking risks and the big dog companies have admitted the fact that they rather work on sequels than take risks with new ideas. Sad Sad Sad indeed. There are two markets for gamers, those that love the same type of gameplay and those that love new quirky titles. 50/50 chance at the money.Â
I refuse to respond to ignorant bashing rather then to make respectable points. How about laying off the insults and be respectable.OoSuperMarioO
your on xbox forums with the topic, microsoft you failed me. so i ask who's being ignorant?Â

it's only his opinion, you gave him attention by responding so he's responding back with another opinion. If you don't care, then don't repond, it's not that hard.Â
How can you say they failed you when you should have forseen this problem from the very start. XBOX was the same way, so I don't know why you are so suprised. By the way FABLE 2, Two Worlds, Blue Dragon, Assasin's Creed, and the square enix game are all coming up.MJ0LNIR_SPARTAN
I will agree Mass Effect has their ideas going for them. RPG/Action. The rest of those are worth mentioning because they look so great but it's nothing we haven't played back in the days....with now just upgraded graphics.
1. You're looking for a platformer, not an adventure game. THOSE died in the 90's
2. If you want inovation, go buy a Wii (Mario Galaxy). That's full of inovation. Keep the Xbox for everything else. Yes Microsoft (and other third parties close to Xbox) lack inovation, but they are still fun

Kameo, Viva Pinata, Oblivion, Bionicle, Enchanted Arms, Ninety Nine Nights, Sonic, King Kong, Phantasy Star Universe, Tomb Raider: Legend...
The list goes on and on - there are plenty of non-shooters on the 360 and the list above is definitely not all of them.

yeah show me a link proving ur info please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!As far as the Tekken 5 thought goes, i think you're thinking of Virtua Fighter 5. Namco has always been pretty loyal to Sony, and i doubt that Sony would let THAT exclusive get away from them, too. Although, after the DMC4 debacle, who knows? That's an entirely different debate, though.
Microsoft is definitely geared towards a more adult and hardcore audience, though, so if you wanted anything other than stuff aimed towards those audiences, you might have made your mistake right when you bought the 360. Adventure games don't sell as well as shooters, its a fact. Or at least, most of them don't. :D
 Â
How can adventure games sell more then shooters today when theres a huge gap in ratio between adventures development and shooters development.Companies tend to dont make adventures due to difficulty of creating creativity rather then the same old gun on the screen and different tweaks for gameplay mechanics.Statistics shows that gearing towards hardcore audience dont make majority of sells in the game business, fact.I do respect your point though bud.As far as the Tekken 5 thought goes, i think you're thinking of Virtua Fighter 5.
