im planning to upgrade my 360 to 120 gig i was just wanna know how is the process gonna take you? does it keep xboxlive arcades and downloaded contents cuz its a waste of time to re dl all of them...so how does the transfer kit really works?
The kit comes wih a usb cord that attached to your new hard drive and a disc, you insert the disc, attatch the usb to the new harddrive and plug the other end into the number 1 slot on your console (leaving your old HDD in) It will ask you if you want to tranfer everything you click yes it takes about 15 minutes and sends everything to the new HDD leaving the old one blank. Then you just have to recover your GT and your set.
I'm hoping to do the same thing...I wasn't sure if you could redownload the DLC after you recovered your gamertag on the new xbox. The guys at Best Buy said Geek Squad can do it for you as well but sometimes they charge $20.

Don't get geek squad it is so not worth it. The DLC would transfer to your new HDD just like any arcade game would. It registers to the console, even if you did switch consoles as long as you are sined on to xbox live with the account that bought the DLC it should still work fine (same for arcade games)
