Congrats on the achievement! Welcome to the Mile High Club. 8)

Hmmm, it's tough to know if you'll be able to complete the game on veteran or not - seeing is how the Epilogue took you 118 tries. Your best bet is to complete the first 1-3 missions on veteran, and if you think you can handle it - push through 'til the end (trust me, some parts will have you fustrated beyond belief).

I agree with the other guy. I had more trouble with Charlie Don't Surf (the TV station) and One Shot, One Kill than Mile High Club.

You just have to be amazing at hitting your targets. There's some parts if you make one mistake that's it like in One Shot, One Kill.

yeah thats what i figured, i beat the package on veteran and i just had to take my time and get like 1 kill at a time
but i can see where one shot, one kill would get really hard.

I had more trouble on "No Fighting in the War Room" than Mile High Club. BUT, if you can beat MHC, you have a pretty legitimate chance of beating the rest of the game :)

Does it tell you how many tries you've done? Cause if not, you have a really good memory.

That mission was hard as hell, I kept getting stuck at the missile silos that were on both sides. 'Safe House' was hard too the damn chopper kept picking me off

Welcome to the club! Out of all the maps on veteran, Mile High Club was the hardest for me. What gets you is the timer. There are some other hard parts during the game on veteran, but none have such a strict timer as Mile High Club.

Mile High Club was probably the hardest. If you can beat that, then the other missions on veteran won't be that hard. Except maybe No fighting in the War room. That too has a time limit.

im assuming that the part you are stuck at is the sniping part with ur wounded soldier. all i did was set up the claymores like normall but save the c4. i hit in the back in a pavilion beside the huge carasal. find a good spot in there and set up the c4. u will see where they will come in at you. just sit there till the helicopter and sprint to get the guy and take him to the chopper. it takes some time....

the game on veteran is as difficult as it is time consuming. with enough trial and error you can beat any mission, as you can tell with your mile high club taking 118 tries.

Mile High club is far from being the hardest. You just have to be smart and use cover as well as your invincible teammates to get past all the parts as quickly as possible. At least in Mile high club there isnt 3 grenades constantly finding you ready to explode.

I am not gonna try out Mile High Club on veteran but I'm currently at the last part of the "No fighting in the War Room" on veteran. I get past the last hallway and you get to the door that take a while to open and everytime I die, it goes back to the beginning of the hallway. It pisses me off. Isnt there suppose to be a checkpoint at the slow moving door?

If you get there fast enough, you should get a checkpoint. Remember, they can't give you a checkpoint there if you only have 20 seconds left (exaggeration), thus you'll have to restart the level. Just keep trying and make the best possible time as possible - and you should get one. That level is only difficult because of the time limit ... you have to balance strategy and patience all in a limited time. Personally, the Heat was harder for me.

I beg to differ. That is one of the hardest challenges ever made. COD 4 on veteran to me was a breeze compared to the past games.

Congrats!! This achievment still aludes me. The timer always runs out, and I can't go any faster with out getting lit up. Any tips?

Im sure you can beat COD4 on vet... it just takes patients and a little trial and error.

To answer your Q about beating the game on vet not necesarily, took me about 15-20 tries in total to do mile high (5 attempts in one session, then I stuck at it and got it in about 15 attempts on my second session) and I can't do One Shot, One Kill or that mission where you have defend the hill then go back down on vet, but aside from those two most of the game on Vet is pretty easy.

theres glitches on that level if you look on youtube... theres a corner you can stand in that no terrorists will come near you, or if you hide in a corner near the pool mc millan snipes 90% of the terrorists that come near you...

no fighting in the war room is impossible... i got to a checkpoint with just enough time to get a c4 charge on the wall and its game over... gotta redo the whole level if i want to finish it :(

What are all these people talking about beating the game on Vet after getting the Mile High Club achievement? Never mind, I just assume most people would want to play the campaign on Vet before jumping to the last level... Anyways the Mile High Club is at least in my experiance harder than the campaign on Vet, it wasn't even that hard besides a few moments. Anyways if you got the Mile High Club achievement you should have no problem with the campaign on Vet, just don't rush it.

I honestly haven't tried since becoming a bit better at the game. I have managed to get as far as 'Heat' on the game on Veteran but I just can't do it. I don't play it much anymore, too addicted to the online game, but its very hard. I really should go and play the Mile High Club again and see where I can get but I just remember trying it a while ago and failing hard at it.

man you can forget it...trying the mile high club on VETERAN!!! it took me four days...approx 6 tries to beat the tv station on veteran....i havent played the game since i beat that board but i WILL beat the whole game on veteran. the only other part that scares the german **** out of me...is the last board. i didnt think the tv station was THAT hard though as long as you know how to duck and cover!!!
