well if it makes you feel better I didn't buy the Reach console because that's what I was after. I was kind of over a barrel because no stores had any standard Xbox 360 S consoles in besides the 4gb console, and that was out of the question :P

I didn't buy it because it's "silver." But congrats. Off-topic but, you would think they'd include the soundtrack for those that purchased the Legendary Edition of the game? I love the Halo Reach soundtrack... I'm buying it day one Sept 28th.

I didn't buy it because it's "silver." But congrats. Off-topic but, you would think they'd include the soundtrack for those that purchased the Legendary Edition of the game? I love the Halo Reach soundtrack... I'm buying it day one Sept 28th.

Honestly the silver makes it look better, I thought the same thing myself at the time. But it was love at first sight when I got home and opened it up. Eyeballing it in the back seat on the ride home, just thinking how dumb a silver Xbox 360 would look out of the box. I considered taking it back honestly :P

Makes sense. I mean, what other color could they do? Silver seems very suitable this time around. What's even better I hear are the cool sound effects it makes. Do they ever get annoying to you? I would get it just because I'm a big Halo Reach fan. Awesome game.

Actually I love the sound effects it makes :). Its something that happens so fast I don't see anybody making a fuss about it. And if you turn your console on with the controller the Xbox don't make any noise. The good thing about the silver color is its not a finger print magnet because its matte. Plus you can't beat getting two Halo Reach controllers that matches your console. Not owning reach and getting two controllers is what made the deal actually reasonable for me. If I had wanted to buy all that seperatly It would have cost me180 dollars alone. Plus Tax :?

I thought about buying it but my 360 is performing well and an extra $340 would've been a waste just for a cool looking design.

i thought about it, but decided against it in the end, my setup is all black so my elite fits in much better

but the guy infront of me in line at the midnight launch bought 4 of the limited edition consoles and 2 legendary editions, he was nuts.......

I have the black slim and it looks great in my home theater setup. But I picked up the new reach controller and it looks good too. Black and gray colors seem to complement each other.

Um its hard to explain, you may be able to find a you tube video of how the console sounds. If not I'll make one this weekend and upload it. Maybe I'll even do a full video review.

That Xbox looks very cool. How much did you pay for it? I didn't know it made sound effects.
