Misinformation Plaguing XBOX 360 Games?

First it's the faux load times hampering reviews of Lost Odyssey, which was due to outdated reviewers copies of the game.

Then there's the review of Frontlines: Fuel of War saying that it only has 50 players at a time, when it's actually 64. Yet the information never seems to get updated, or changed. And, the reviews weren't redone for Lost Odyssey. It's hard to even trust anything game sites say anymore. It seems to be getting worse over time.

How do we know that these reviewers don't often times get outdated reviewers copies of games?

they review the game they are given by the devs... it's not their fault they didn't get a final copy. Secondly, stuff gets updated all the time, seriously, what are you talking about?mfp16

I don't care what is given to them by the developers, I only care about what I will be purchasing in the store. Perhaps they should only review copies of the game that come from retail to ensure accuracy, not just hope it's the right copy. The fact is they aren't ensuring accuracy to consumers. Rushing to get out a review before everyone else isn't worth it if you're releasing uninformed trash.

In my eyes, I dont think they really care about Lost Odyssey, or else they wouldnt have butchered the game so bad. I happen to think that LO was an amazing game. I rate it a 9.5. See how reviewers dont matter to me? Who cares about what they say half the time? If you believe them so much, you'd miss out on an entire section of good-great games. I almost didnt buy Lost Odyssey because of this problem. So I learned to make my own judgement. Good for me, lol.

64 players on Frontlines is for PC ONLY. 360 IS 50. Maybe you should do your homework.DZBricktop

Yeah, I've basically lost all faith in the reviewers on most sites. They aren't thorough or consistant enough. Their methods create a big window for errors.

The LO review was updated, they just didn't change the score. It is pretty close to the average critic's score, so that shouldn't be surprising.

FoW has a cap of 50 players on the 360. If you misunderstood something somewhere, that's not GS's fault.

So...what are you complaining about?! I'm not saying these guys are flawless, but those two examples you gave are not correct.
