MLB 2K7 Demo - Thoughts?

Is there still a swing stick, and if there is, is it still awful?

I personally love the swing stick. Reminds me of the deku control on NHL 07. Anyways, the only problem I ran into was some of the comentary is still a bit off. Like, I got caught in a run down, got tagged out, and he said "Ohh, he went for the slide but didn't quite make it." But, it is looking SO much better then 2k6.SwigGY12

I like the idea of the swing stick but it just didn't feel right to me. It was a little sluggish. I guess I'll put a little more time into it to see if it grows on me.

I had no idea there was no EA support for baseball games on the 360.  But I don't see one planned for '07.

So I'm gonna buy this game.  My wife walked past last night and it took her 5-10 seconds to notice that it wasn't a TV broadcast.  That's high-quality.

My only problem is with the "prettiness" of the game.  Models look good, motions are good, etc., but the exterior and interior shots of the field look like they were drawn with AutoCAD -- totally rendered and flat -- and there seem to be about two advertisers on the field: Kush and 2K.  That actually takes away from the realism as far as I'm concerned.

I don't care if Jacobs Field doesn't have Giant Eagle everywhere or if Camden Yards doesn't have EssKay hotdog signs.  Coors Field might even be missing its 1,000 beer advertisements, but at least make me feel like I'm in a modern baseball park.  Stuff's looking a little bare out there.

Also, I'm sure you can set the frequency of this stuff, but I didn't see a single replay in that demo, not even of my game-winning homer. 

I'm still getting it.

When compared to MVP, sad to say that MLB is still inferior to it...imo.madmonkx
