if you have to worry about the age restriction you're not old enough to get it... and good.. we need less children on COD...PoisoN_Facecam0
Agreed! and also less 8 ~ 12y olds with a mic ;)

He could be 16 or 17.
And dont act all superior. You were that age once. I've known kids that age that were more mature than some of the 20 year old plus people that I'm around on a daily basis.
Time has shown that game ratings for the most part does little to prevent underage parties from playing mature games. Blame it on irresponsible parenting.

i agree i wasn't allowed to play M rated games until i was in the 9th grade, Which i think is about right for when i would let my kids play. I mean i really think there are some parents that don't even think to care that their 7 or 8 year old is playing a game intended for people twice there kids age. It also gets way worse when they get onto xbox live or psn and scream into mics and do some of the bit7hyist stuff ever.
as for mod 2s age rating
it's M in the north america so 18 in europe.
ps tp has same name as me =]
I'm 24 years old, and I get carded when I buy violent video games. And then when I show my ID, they always look at it for 5 minutes because they think it is fake. Me and my damn baby face.

lol:P
I don't ever buy mature games since I only have a Wii, but that might all change once I get a 360. Good thing I have a 17-year old face; don't want clerks thinkin' I'm not old enough to play Halo.:P
I'm 20 and it happens to me every time I try and buy ciggarettes, R movies, or M games. It starts to get pretty damn aggravating. And I don't see why the age restriction is even going to be an issue. It's just going to repeat again with 12-14 year olds acting like 8-10 yr olds. So yea, it sucks but I guess we're going to have to deal with it.I'm 24 years old, and I get carded when I buy violent video games. the truth is there are no age restrictions. if you have an xboxllive account, you should be able to play the game online. who's going to stop you? It's like age restrictions anywhere on the internet, they are not really there and can't be enforced. thats just how it is. its not like M$ can see you and know that you are only 15 and not 18 like you tell them. if i wasnt 18 yet, i'd have an older brotheror friend create an Xboxlive account for me. problem solved.
fail...hes talking about actually be allowed to buy the game himself, not play online and the max age is 15 down under, i really hope an R18 rating comes soon....the truth is there are no age restrictions. if you have an xboxllive account, you should be able to play the game online. who's going to stop you? It doesn't matter, parents these days don't give a crap about their kids and will buy them whatever to shut them up. Xbox= Babysitter. You'll meet more kids on COD than you will in a playground.if you have to worry about the age restriction you're not old enough to get it... and good.. we need less children on COD...PoisoN_Facecam0
couldnt agree anymore.

I'm 24 and my ID expired like a year ago, I never went to get a new one(i'm lazy) and when I get carded I just cross the street to the other game store. I'm going to get my ID this week since I've been getting carded at these lounges more often these past couple weeks.
What?????? Im 12 and i play MW2 and I say that not all kids are immature... compared to some guys of your age.... I dont even bother with multi though, cause I'm getting Red dead. I really don't think age ratings are appropiate though.. I mean its just cause The world is soooo Politically controlled today, cuz before we had guns, explosions and stuff in kids movies, not its just stuff about friendship O__o

Age ratings are there to ensure people of a certain age can't (although it's more "shouldn't" due to people getting whatever age restricted material they want) access content that they aren't mature enough to handle. I work with children between 11 and 18 and the number of 11 year olds chatting about how awesome "No Russian" was is a little scary, and I don't mean how clever and plot relevent it was, I mean about how awesome it was to shoot up loads of civilians. I am of the opinion that content like this should be aimed at people who actually understand what it is trying to get across
Age ratings aren't perfect as different people mature at different rates, but until someone comes up with a system to test the maturity of each individual as they come into a store, they are the best system we have so long as people actually try to uphold them (I'm looking at you parents/sibling!)
COD MW2 is an 18 were i am and it should be, not to sound like a turd but this game is violent and not to kick off about it coz i like the game but the scene in the airport is deffinatly only for mature players, although it asks you about violence it still shouldnt be played by minors. parents need to take a little more responsibility
Firstly; this thread is from 2009. Secondly; sooo politically controlled? what does that statement even mean in the context of what you were saying? also considering you arent old enough to vote yet...What??????
