it's way to early for that, personally i wish people would stop being so fanboyish about this game that will most likely be a clone of the first one with a couple minor changes in guns.
Hush... it's going to be an amazing game And I hope there is a beta, that way we can have an idea on what it will be like. But right now it's too earlyit's way to early for that, personally i wish people would stop being so fanboyish about this game that will most likely be a clone of the first one with a couple minor changes in guns.

I think it was cool how for the first modern warfare on infinity ward's website you got to vote for the box cover (i chose the winning cover :D ) they should do this for modern warfare 2
there is no way that this is going to be a clone of the first one...there are going to be way more guns and the maps are going to be better than everit's way to early for that, personally i wish people would stop being so fanboyish about this game that will most likely be a clone of the first one with a couple minor changes in guns.

Good thing i haven't played #4 online, i did play it singleplayer though...looks exactly the same except for those swat dudes with shields and some really wild jetski rides lol.I liked the first Call of Duty best it seems more real about war showing about how gritty it was while the newer ones just seem all action orientated.Fine i guess but i think COD is overrated harshly.
I posted a thread on this a bit earlier http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=26923593&tag=topics;title There is a lot scam emails doing the rounds at the moment claiming there is one but there isn'tLiberator72Thanks for warning us about this.

you cant say that cod is over rated until u play it online....the online play is 90 percent of the reason i bought cod4 and 5 in the first place..[QUOTE="SEANSEXYUNDIES"]there is no way that this is going to be a clone of the first one...there are going to be way more guns and the maps are going to be better than everit's way to early for that, personally i wish people would stop being so fanboyish about this game that will most likely be a clone of the first one with a couple minor changes in guns.

Much better.

No this will not be an expansion pack...It is a new game...and its a sequel, so of course its going to be very similar to modern warfare 1. im tired of everyone bashing on a sequel to a game they dont like saying how its exactly like the first. they're sequels, they're supposed to be like the one before it because its just a continuation of the series. a good sequel just adds a few new gameplay mechanics, more content, and fixes what was wrong with the game before it. and modern warfare 2 will be awesome, cant wait.

Finally, someone with sense. It doesn't really matter who likes it or not anyway so I don't know why people waste their time voicing whether they like or hate the game. No one really cares anyway. All that matters to Activision and Infinity Ward is the number sold. And whether you like it or not, you have to respect the fact that no matter what, they're going to make a lot of money with this title. Not opinion, fact.it's way to early for that, personally i wish people would stop being so fanboyish about this game that will most likely be a clone of the first one with a couple minor changes in guns.

I completely agree with you. It's basically going to be "Modern Warfare 1.5." So what if it's a sequel, it shouldn't seem to be nearly the same as the first one. Took IW like 2 years to modify their engine and develop an awesome story-line, and multiplayer with barely any drastic bugs. Here we are again, another 2 years later, and what do we have here? Seems like a little copy and paste to me...
Going to be like GoW2, hold me off for 2 weeks and then I will be drastically bored because it's the same exact crap online. Played 70 days on the first MW online, so I'm pretty bored of it. And when MW2 comes out I'll play it for 2 - 4 weeks until I get bored of the new "DLC"

so theyre supposed to create an entirely new engine even though the game is gonna be on the same gen of consoles as the last and change the gameplay totally? well, then it wouldnt be called modern warfare 2, it would be an entirely different game. and the whole "(insert game here) 1.5" has been beaten to death when talking about sequels to games who people say are exactly like the first. its kinda getting old. anyways, fact is people loved the first one, ALOT of people, and continuing the story, adding new maps, guns, perks, etc. is gonna be more than enough to get poeple excited for the new one. name one game series where the sequels were drastically different from the games before it.

lol we've seen like 5 minutes of gameplay, and in that gameplay we've already seen them take off on snowmobiles, and climb the side of an icy mountain, both of which are new gameplay mechanics. we havent even seen or heard of all of the multiplayer changes or new guns, etc..boy i wish people would stop being so judgemental about games they know absolutely NOTHING about. people throw that fanboy word around a little too much nowadays. just because he wants to play a beta of the game doesnt mean hes a fanboy if in fact you were referring to him. now I on the other hand am a complete "FAN" of infinity wards call of duty. theres a big difference between being a fan and being a fanboy....you should learn to distinguish between the twoit's way to early for that, personally i wish people would stop being so fanboyish about this game that will most likely be a clone of the first one with a couple minor changes in guns.

I don't think they'll beta test the second one. They already have the data they needed from the first game. As Raiden004 said, it'll probably just be a demo level or something. We all pretty much know what to expect for the sequel. Unless they beta the vehicles. Are there vehicles?SnakeEyesX80good god i hope not. at least not in the multiplayer, i think thats the WORST idea and i hate treyarch for putting those stupid tanks in the MP mode

i can agree with your opinion on the tanks
I think there will be news on it next month just because the first MW was announced in July along with E3. This year it was a month early so Infinity Ward didn't have any plans on announcing it at E3, but there will be a beta for this especially since the numbers they're predicting for this game are so high.
I just pre-ordered it from gamestop earlier today, and the person i talked to (manager) asked for my email and said that they would send me a redeem code for the beta as soon as it comes out. Too bad i wasn't smart enough to remember the date he told me (currently slamming head against wall)....I'll make sure to call and ask...timc7777777:lol: lol i paid mine off last month!
