Damn it. My friends will probably buy it, which in turn will make me buy it. Same thing happened with Black Ops.

I'm very leery mostly because MW2 was terrible and this game is going to be worked on by 3 different studios by the time of it's release. They took it away from Infinity Ward after they destroyed that studio, and then gave it to an unproven studio in Sledgehammer who hasn't made a single game, or any that I can find. Raven is working on the multiplayer and they've made a career on mediocrity. It's official now Activision has destroyed COD we could all see it coming.

I laughed a little when I found out.Im not sure if I would want a yearly release of my favorite games though,but with the sales of COD,I guess alot of people do.Im all for long term support and will pay for it but a whole new release every year,I dont know.

Has Raven ever done anything worthwile in multiplayer? Singularity, Wolfenstein, and Quake 4 aren't exactly the best multiplayer experiences out there. Big gamble by Activision putting their flagship brand in their hands.

Give it a rest, its funny how there is another current topic on these forums with people moaning that after the Dead Space 2 demo that its much the same as Dead Space 1 but hey I dont want to spend my money on a1st sequal but im more than happy to spend it on an 8th sequal :roll:

Wow, so technically we've got two Call of Duty games in development...

There's going to be a lot of angry PS3 owners, considering they couldn't even get Black Op's servers to work and they're already putting out a new game. I know everyone knows Call of Duty is a yearly thing now, but it's still salt in the wound to hear them announce it.

I'm skipping it. My fall gaming is already booked with my wallet, and my time.

Anyway I'm not getting it, its old anymore. And I'm very bored of this series.

Thank you TC, i was unsure due to all the legal issues, which other users seem to be negligent of.

anyway, maybe having raven do the multiplayer might *winces* make this game a step foreword.

Its a long shot, but half of IW getting laid off could be the best thing to happen to the franchise in a while.......unless its a half assed job

I always say Im not gonna buy it, but I always do. Im probablygoing to play it for 2 weeks, then shelve it and go back to BFBC2.

I enjoyed MW2 but didn't like BO.

I'll just wait and see how this one turns out.

I am a fan of Call of Duty so I'm glad there's another one coming out.

You obviously didn't read the article let me help you with an excerpt.......

"Citing unnamed sources, the LA Times says Activision has recruited Sledgehammer Games, the studio currently workingon another unannounced Call of Duty title, and Raven Software (Singularity) to help finish development of Modern Warfare 3 for release this November. The report states both Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward are equally completing the single-player portion of the game, while Raven is working on its online multiplayer features"

To put it in simple terms your infantile brain can comprehend Sledgehammer and, whats left of Infinity Ward, are working on the single player while Raven is working on the multiplayer. So looks like THREE developers with be working on the MW3 like I previously stated. The fact that they recruited 2 more studios to help in development means they weren't going to be ready by november, and they're just trying to push it out for profit while the quality will most likely suffer destroying the what was once a good franchise. Next time before you attack someone get your facts straight and stop being a COD sycophant you simple ****.

I really dont know how anyone could be excited for another CoD again already. Yearly releases for a FPS just dont seem right. Its like the new madden. AutoPilotOn

Why is everyone so surprised that a company who makes things for...wait for it...PROFIT, is making something for...oh no...PROFIT. Whether they were to release CoD every year or every 5 years, the whole idea behind it is to generate 'PROFIT' so that they can continue as a business; NOT to please your every desire or win your approval. The real surprise is the ghastly statements made like "oh, Activision just wants more money," of course they do, the whole idea behind a business is to make money. Stop being so dense and get over yourselves.
