Modern Warfare 3 in Development??

Yes it's coming out later in 2011. Who knows what it will be like because it doesn't have the same developers (Sledgehammer is doing single player with Raven doing multiplayer).

The developers of the first two left to form another studio and took most of the employees with them.

wasnt activision being sued so or something so now until the suit is over they cant use the modern warfare franchise? if im wrong please tell me because i dont know and btw just my opinion i think battlefield 3 is going to be better i need a break from this annual cod stuff its a little old

I find it funny that anyone would be excited over MW3. It seems that anyone who bashes Black Ops does so because they feel that Treyarch is an inferior developer. Now those same people are going to back Sledgehammer and Raven with the next CoD game??

For me, CoD will be left out of my military FPS's this year. I simply see no way that MW3 competes with the masterpiece that will be BF3? EA/DICE are pulling out all of the stops on this game and for my money they already have the best multiplayer game in BFBC2. BF3 will rule all!!!

In my opinion, Black Ops killed COD. Not that it's a bad game, but they should have stopped at MW2 and really worked on a new one, instead of making COD an annual release. It's unnecassary and frankly, if MW3 comes out, I won't be buying it, the COD series lost my money this past November, I refused to buy Black Ops.

True, and yes, new developers may very well turn the series back around, but Infinity Ward hit it off with the Modern Warfare's, while Activision sadly ruined COD for me, personally. Plus I've always been partial to RPGs, so it doesn't really help the cause :roll:

Battlefield3/Crysis2/Killzone3 FTW... **** Activision.

I'll def look into it. probably rent it via Gamefly to see about the multiplayer like I did with Black Ops. but I have a sneaking feeling that Battlefield 3 will be my new online shooter

no, actually, its not a biased opinion at all. ive played black ops SO MANY TIMES. everyone has BO. my brother has BO. so no, its not a biased opinion.

and, in my opinion, BF is more of a fair and balanced game than CoD.

i know im gonna get bashed but who cares, so i liked modern warfare, i thought world at war was a cheap reskin, loved modern warfare 2, great sequel to amazing game, didnt get black ops, its just beating a dead horse. i am really interested in homefront if they fix some of the bugs and polish it nice, i love the red dawn kind of theme, looks to be amazing if done right. after that im looking forward to half life 3 and portal 2 for fps style games, i think the way mp is the only focus of fps games now is their downfall, eventualy its same thing just differnt skin with little things different, where as story can truly make a game memorable. look at fallout, its fps rpg and its so amazing and borderlands, yeah thats proof rpg and shooter can mesh. as for modern warfare 3 i hope they dont beat the dead horse, if its some other cod fine, im not buying it... sorry not gonna waste my money, heck i still feel cheated by fable 3 honestly... sequels better start getting better or some new ip need to break out.

Im hoping it will be good but we will just have to see how well the new developers deal with the franchise.
