I'm thinking of getting a widescreen monitor for my 360, what's the maximum resolution, will the monitor have to be, to get the best out of it.

the 360 can output theese resolution: 640 x 480, 848x480, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 720, 1280 x 768, 1280 x 1024, and 1360 x 768 a typical widescreen monitor is 1440x900. i asked someone about this and they said that if the 360 was outputting a lower res than the monitor it would just not fill the entire screen. anyone know if this is correct

i have a acer 19" WS lcd, and its native reso is indeed 1440x900 i use the 1360x768 setting and all games fill up the screen entirely.

You MUST set it to 1280x720 (720P) to get best visual results. SETTING 1368X760 WILL TAKE YOU TO A LOWER RES THAN 720P IN GAMES !

"1280x720" that is the same res that use. you can put any of the res on a monitor and just stretch and flatin the screen to make it fit, but the best/clearest picture i got was 1280x720.

i play on a 19" lcd and have the 360 set for widescreen at 1360 x 768 resolution. everything looks fantastic. i was gonna see if 1280 x 720 really looked better but i cant set it that low, when i try the monitor says OVER RANGE. o well its beautiful with the settings i have it on.
