After a while they return to a set place - which is different for each character. Dogmeat will wait for you outside Vault 101. The Brotherhood woman - Protector Casdin (?) - returns to the Citadel Can't remember the others off the top of my head, but try looking where you first found them and see if they returned there, or maybe the bar in Underworld
Make sure you kill them when you find them. just to teach them a lesson about not dissapearing like that. Just make sure you make a save before you punish them.
Tell us who you "misplaced" then well tell you where to look.Fawkes(Super mutant) will be in the museum of history or technology. Star Paladin Cross(Brotherhood of steel) will be at the Citadel. Dogmeat(Dog) will be outside of Vault 101 Charon(Ghoul) will be in Underworld. Clover(Slave) will be at Eulogys Pad. The robot goes to canterbury commons, Fawkes/The Ghoul (can't remember name) go to the entrence of Underworld (Museum of History), The Merc from Megaton returns to Megaton, Dogmeat goes to the cave entrence of Vault 101, Butch goes to Rivet City, the slave girl goes to paradise falls, and Casdin returns to the citadel...
