I'll be honest, I really liked that footage. I know some of you aren't feeling the same way but that looked really cool. I will say though I don't think that is actual movie footage because that environment they were fighting looked more like Earth than Halo. I think this is just more short footage similar to the Arms Race footage. But again, I thought that looked really good and Im looking forward to more.Ghost_Warrior

Well this particular footage probably isn't from the movie, its just another short film he did like the Arms Race short film. The Halo movie reportely has a $100 million dollar budget but I don't think they spent any of it on this short film. Still it looked good.

Yeah, too clarify, this is just promotional footage to lead up to the release of Halo 3. This isn't representitive of the films quality. This just shows that Neill can make films with very small amounts of money and still manage to make it of a certain quality.
If you guys wanna see some great work of his that was done with almost no money.

Those were really good, I really like this director and I can see why Peter Jackson put so much faith in him.

I would like to see this video from its HD source rather then a video filmed offscreen.xelloss88

I never understood the big fuss over 300. It was a good movie but nothing compared to Gladiator or other action greats.

I just don't think that the Spartans look cool:|. I say make the Spartans CGI. And to the people saying it looks bad. It obviously hasn't been worked on too much. I mean they still have to add in effects and put it together nicer. It's not like it's finished, movie like quality:|-Sniper99-

This is the Halo franchise, not the Gears of War franchise (I have no beef with gears its a great game) but what are they doing, in Halo cover is not as important as in Gears and the movie footage looks more like Gears than Halo. It doesnt appear like they know what they are doing as of now.spidadragon1

Wow, they aren't basing this movie off the gameplay there basing it off of the story of halo. Soldiers aren't going to stand in the open so they can get shot at they are going to hide against some sort of cover. You really don't know what you're talking about.

That 1st one was pretty cool.

The 2nd one, "Arms Race"

I thought was stupid and a total waste of my time when I downloaded and watched it from Xbox Live.

no offence to the director but that felt more like a Full Spectrum Warrior movie than a halo movie.
